Well maintained campground.
Restrooms/showers kept continuously clean during our stay. We actually moved from tent site 7 to tent site 2 to be closer to facilities. Office staff was very accommodating of our request.
I booked Cabin C for mom, Tent site #7 for my brother and I stayed in Camp site 6. Here I'll talk about tent site #6. This is not my first time in camp site #6, I like it a lot because it is really secluded … My dog loves other dogs, but she likes to “talk” to all the dog walkers who go by (which is fun for a few seconds then get old… ) here she can’t see them as you drive back off the main campground road into a large flat open area surrounded by tree’s (with an opening to see the pond, which you are right next too)… the toads and frogs sign all night long. Its lovely.
The site was very close to the northern entrance of Lassen and was private. We easily found the office and someone there showed us the campsite. It was a little damp when we got there because it's heavily forested, by a pond, and it looked like it recently rained. We had blankets so we were fine but it could have been really cold if we were unprepared. In the morning once the mist cleared up it was drier. We appreciated how close it was to Lassen.
Living Springs is beautiful and tent spot #6 is an amazing site. The site gives you privacy, is on the lake, and is large enough for multiple tents. Everyone we encountered was extremely nice and helpful. We can't wait to go back when it's dry and experience it in it's full glory!

What a beautiful campsite nestled in the northern CA woods! I was surprised at how busy it was considering the time of year (mid-spring). Lots of bustling, liveliness, kids playing and general good vibes. And the main office was nicely stocked with some groceries and gear. We were only passing through for the night, but I could imagine a longer stay just to hang out longer.
I enjoyed staying here! It was a very safe and family friendly place. There are several RV and cabin spots you drive through then the tent sites are secluded past all of those. The hosts were extremely communicative and actually upgraded me to a different camping spot (#7) free of charge. I really liked staying here, especially with my dog who swam in the little creek. It’s close to the north entrance of Lassen (the only one open in winter), about a half an hour drive, and about an hour and 40 minute drive to the southwest entrance of Lassen via 44- side roads through Manton, 36 through Mineral, 89 north (during winter, in summer you can directly access from Lake Manzanita). Highly recommend staying here!

unfortunately at last moment we had to cancel the trip that we were looking forward to. However, I had several text messaging with Peter, he promptly answered my inquiries.
Peter really knows hospitality! He was extremely responsive and answered every question I had. I can't wait for our return trip!
