Stay on a beautiful 20 acres of raw desert  land just a 1/4 mile off the 62 highway. Town is close enough by but you'll find peace and quiet here with 360 views and    easy access (just 6 miles) to the east entrance of Joshua Tree National Park access Pay booth visitors center,And 1 mile from Utah trail street east entrance access road.   3 miles  from town  for supplies.<>This is a great spot to crash  for the night and build a fire. It's a solid, good dirt  rd  directly in to the property  but you may need  a truck to  get into the  camping part of the  desert. CHECK GROUND BEFORE DRIVING JUST TO BE SMART .( If  you are an experienced off roader  then this is  a piece of cake and not worth mentioning )  this is mentioned  for  someone  who  has never driven in the desert

Property is on a  flat 1000 year flood plain  but no!!!!  deep   ditches /  washes  from rain flow  AND  IS HARD  PACKED IN most AREAS AND NOT IN OTHERS!!  use caution if  you  do not have a 4 wd

This is a super private, off-grid exp. There may be  some firewood  left  but you might need to bring a saw to cut it.

Park off of road or in the camping area of the desert.  drive  through the town of 29 palms on 62 hwy. about 3 miles. this  20 acres  sits .25 miles north  on Singing Sands  (or left  if  coming from la)  from the 62 highway  onto Singing Sands . take  the  very first  road   you can turn   left on  from singing sands  IGNORE THIS GATE  stay to the left  and then looking left is all the property.  do not  go into the property  with the gate!!!!   go to the   land  opposite  south  of that  big  white house  with all the trees  around it. You can park on singing sands and carry  your stuff  into the desert if  you are at all concerned about sand  for driving

great star gazing because of minimal city lights and great sunrises and sunsets.

This is a super convenient location just outside the 29 Palms park entrance, especially if you're being spontaneous and don't want to to stress about finding a spot inside the park. You can still see the town lights, but the stars are bright and you can enjoy a campfire in peace. Paul is also very responsive.

Paul’s land isn’t too bad. It was a good place to spend the night after exploring Joshua tree. One thing to note is that the some of the pictures on this ad is for his other site. There is no clearing by the hill.

I highly recommend this camping site to anyone who is looking to be secluded but close to town. The site offers incredible 360 views across the landscape. As Paul mentioned the sand is soft in some places, so a vehicle with four-wheel drive is recommended or pack in your gear. I absolutely loved this site and can't wait to come back.

The sunsets were beautiful and we really appreciated the ability to have a campfire.
The directions were a bit difficult to find but the host was quick to respond to a phone call and he explained the directions. In the future a text or email with directions would be super helpful.
All and all we loved it and would go back again!

Paul was very nice on the phone. I wish I'd known that I'd have to drive through a small ditch to get into the property before I had booked. We have a 5th wheel and bottomed out badly, did some damage. Nice and private spot for smaller vehicles with 4x4(soft ground), good location.
