Our campsites are on unceded Kumeyaay territory, in an almost untouched chaparral landscape with oak trees, white sage and California buckwheat growing abundantly. Just down the road is where the Buffalo Soldiers were originally housed.

We have 5 sites total, each of which has its own hipcamp listing. Each site is located minimum 1000 feet away from another and each has its own unique microbiome. This site is at the front of the property, next door to our chickens. (Don’t worry about noise, no roosters just hens!) We do allow multiple camping groups on the land at a time, but at 120 acres, there is plenty of space between sites, such that everyone has their privacy and distance.

This site has a kitchen, shower, toilet and 2 full size beds in addition to couches. Sorry, no hot water.

We have about 10 spigots throughout the entrance of the property, and you are more than welcome to fill your water jugs/bottles here for your use during your stay. The cold, delicious water comes straight from our well.

NO FIRES ALLOWED IN THE WARM MONTHS It is simply too hot/dry, for that reason we have to put no campfires allowed. After it rains and in the winter we can allow campfires, feel free to check in about it when you are booking. Propane cooking is allowed, and we have camp stoves available for rent below.

On the land there is a mountain and oak forests for hiking/exploring, we simply ask that you do not harvest/wildcraft any of the white sage on the property, as it is an endangered medicine sacred to the Indigenous peoples of California. On the way to the mountain you will see a silver water tower, there is a spigot at the base of this with fresh water for your use while hiking/exploring. Please also note that because 90% of the property is untouched there are wild animals, such as quail, snakes, coyotes, hares and lizards. We have printed animal and plant identification lists for your use while you camp.

The land is not only a campground but also a growing family farm; We have chickens, pigs, dogs and there are peacocks who roam the property. You can follow us on instagram @paraisopavoreal to check out what we're up to.

We are 7 miles south of Lake Morena and two miles north of the Pacific Crest Trail Southern Terminus.

Lake Morena features boating and fishing, parking is $3. Fishing/Boating fees are posted on their website along with the fishing report for the season.

The Pacific Crest Trail is a 2600 mile trail from the southern border to the northern border. The portion near us features beautiful hikes. More information can be found on the Pacific crest Trail Association website.

Im writing because the host was very upfront and pro active about my RSVP. she had to cancel my night but refunded my without question. She did that in 10 minutes. I will say that HipCamp could focus on giving you better destination milage for these sites. Too much focus on getting booked and not on travelers convience. like do your own Research but honestly when you tired from the road and trying to book from a low battery on your dirty screened phone. Ya jUst want all the conviences. sorry about typos just got this mac and not the same spell check commands. whats upwith that. so thank you and looking forward to checking your place out next time
