Mellow community vibes, kayaks, SUP, stargazing, outdoor kitchen, Saturday bonfire nights, and more for nature and bug-loving mountain going adventure seekers keen to discover the Eastern Sierra.. Camp on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir with a backdrop of snowcapped Sawtooth Mountain Range and an easy access to trails. We’re a small family-friendly camp with a unique mix of RV sites, cool rental campers and tent camping spots (our tent sites are closest to the shore).
Please note, we ask for 3 nights minimum stay throughout the season and 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend (we won't be able to accommodate arrivals or departures on July 3rd & 4th). Thank you for your consideration.
We have a 3-night minimum but may be able to lower it to 1-2 nights at short notice (same week or within a week or two, especially on weekdays, but also on weekends at short notice), please ask or check the upcoming dates as minimum may be lowered already.
Please read through the entire listing to find out more about our Tent Camping sites and our place. Can't wait to hear from you and to be part of your adventures in the Sierra!
We're a family owned RV Park & Campground located on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. Together with our crew, we're excited to welcome you into our home. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive, we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.
Our two Tent Camping sites are located on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir and offer front row views of the water and the Sawtooth Mountain Range. The sites are a good size for the number of campers we welcome at the listing and they are next to our Tent & Van camping spot. We're a great fit for campers who appreciate a safe space with a friendly welcoming atmosphere, and are keen to embrace community vibe and meet fellow travelers. These spots will easily accommodate a couple of backpacking tents and parking for one car is included in the rate. We can accommodate the second vehicle, if needed, in overflow parking at the camp if you're camping at T3. Please select Extra Vehicle Fee from the Extras if you're planning a 3-night stay, or message us prior to requesting the booking if your stay duration differs, so we can adjust that rate for you accordingly. These dry camping sites (no hookups) come with picnic table, fire pit, free WIFI and access to our clean bathrooms.
It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a camping site as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lounge outside and read for days. For the more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities available in the area, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards and so much more. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is located on a major bird migration route.
We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead. If you come to stay with us over the weekend, you'll be welcome to join us around the campfire and connect with fellow campers (we have fires on most Saturdays, weather permitting).
Please note that the water level in the reservoir varies greatly, based on the snow pack and time of year and may be lower if there's a little snow in the winter. Typically, the lake’s edge will recede as the season progresses. So, if you are coming later in the season (late August onwards), you should expect the water level to be lower. Swimming isn't available, particularly in late July onwards. We recommend the nearby Twin Lakes just off Bridgeport if you would like to go for a swim, while you're welcome to use our complimentary kayaks and SUP on the reservoir. We get awesome sunsets and sunrises over the Sawtooth Ridge nonetheless!
Did we mention that we love dogs? Be sure to bring you four legged friend when staying with us (we can accommodate up to two dogs at each site). With dog wash and dog beach, your adventure pup will be a happy camper here! Please note that the dog beach can be quite limited when the water level in the reservoir is high. When the water level is lower, it's plenty for walks, running around and playing with your pup.
We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.
Please note, we ask for 3 nights minimum stay throughout the season and 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend (we won't have arrivals or departures on July 3rd & 4th).

Staff was very attentive. People were respectful of quiet hours, bathrooms were clean and spotless. It was lovely
what a beautiful, chill, relaxing spot! enjoyed being by the water, near hot springs, easy access to town, and a very friendly atmosphere with everything you need! Ended up doubling the length of our stay :)
Awesome spot on the lake and close to a couple natural hot springs! My wife and I enjoyed using this as a perfect base camp to explore the area. I loved cooking at the outdoor kitchen. What a view! Sink was still off due to cold weather but the bathrooms had nice hot water and the showers were clean.

We really enjoyed tent site #2. It was so lovely to have the trees and Palapa to make it feel like a cozy and contained site. So grateful to be able to have our pup there and be safe with all the other dogs. We will come back!
The best camp site so far! Bathroom is very clean and warm. Shower is warm. Love the sunrise and sunset there! Peter has been very helpful and responding message pretty quick. Highly recommend it!!!
Great spot! Directions to get there were great and even though we had it check in late it was easy to fine. The staff and other campers were friendly. Bathrooms were clean and the outdoor kitchen was helpful for cooking. We definitely would like to come back!
Since we wanted to try the east side of Yosemite first, this was an excellent place to stay. We had a great view of the lake and mountain from our tent. The hot showers and outdoor kitchen made "roughing it" very luxurious. On top of everything, Peter, the host, was very quick to respond to all our questions and was very hospitable. 5/5 would stay again!
Great place to car camp! Really nice facilities and beautiful sunset views of the lake from our tent. My partner and I were caught off guard by the low nighttime temperatures and Peter was kind enough to lend us some blankets for our last two nights. We would definitely stay here again, and may even rent one of the cute RV campers on site.
