Mellow community vibes, kayaks, SUP, stargazing, outdoor kitchen, Saturday bonfire nights, and more for nature and bug-loving mountain going adventure seekers keen to discover the Eastern Sierra.. Camp on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir with a backdrop of snowcapped Sawtooth Mountain Range and an easy access to trails. We’re a small family-friendly camp with a unique mix of various RV sites, cool rental campers and few tent camping spots (our tent sites are closest to the shore).
We absolutely love the Eastern Sierra and would like to share it with you and have you immerse yourself in all its beauty over several days. That's why we encourage spending at least a few days in the area to truly appreciate it.
With that said, we understand you may be coming from abroad/across the country and hoping to see as much of California as you can within a tight schedule. This listing is essentially "short notice, short stay" - a perfect fit if you can only allow a day or two in the area and need somewhere nice and safe to stay. In case you'd like to stay with us for longer (we'd love that!) and dive deeper into all the heart of the Sierra, please check our other camping and glamping options, also to see the weekend availability.
Site 1 - PS Tent & Van Camping (T1) - great for camper van or tent camping - up to 5 campers are welcome (extra fee for the 5th person;
Site 2 & 3 - PS Tent Camping (T2/T3) - up to 3 campers / 1-2 small tents - ideal for tent camping; we may be able to accommodate a camper van here if Site 1 isn't available.
Site 4 - PS Tent Camping T4 - up to 3 campers / 1-2 small tents, and ONLY suitable for tent camping (no car camping, vans, rooftop tents, trailers etc). This site comes with parking for one car, no overflow parking available.
All of these dry camping sites (no hookups) come with one parking spot included in the rate. We can accommodate the second car, if needed, for an additional fee at T1 and T3 only. Each site comes with picnic table, fire pit, free WIFI and the access to clean bathrooms. Sites T1 - T3 are next to each other, while T4 is located further away and next to our Sierra Stream rental.
We're a great fit for campers who appreciate a safe space with a friendly welcoming atmosphere, and are keen to embrace community vibe and meet fellow travelers, or prefer to keep to themselves and simply enjoy the outdoors.
You can find out more about each spot by visiting their long stay listings. We can't wait to hear from you and to be part of your adventures in the Sierra!
We're a family owned RV Park & Campground located on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. Together with our crew, we're excited to welcome you into our home. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive, we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may ask you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation.
It’s important to us that our guests don’t feel they are renting a camping site as much as they’re immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to lounge outside and read for days. For the more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities available in the area, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards and so much more. Do you enjoy bird watching? There are hundreds of different species right here at Paradise Shores, which is located on a major bird migration route.
We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guest to “unplug” and immerse in the slow pace life instead. If you come to stay with us over the weekend, you're welcome to join us around the campfire and connect with fellow campers (we have bonfires on most Saturdays, weather permitting).
Please note that the water level in the reservoir varies greatly, based on the snow pack and time of year and may be lower if there's a little snow in the winter. Typically, the lake’s edge will recede as the season progresses. So, if you are coming later in the season (late August onwards), you should expect the water level to be lower. Swimming isn't available, particularly in late July onwards. We recommend the nearby Twin Lakes just off Bridgeport if you would like to go for a swim, while you're welcome to use our complimentary kayaks and SUP on the reservoir. We get awesome sunsets and sunrises over the Sawtooth Ridge nonetheless!
Did we mention that we love dogs? Be sure to bring you four legged friend when staying with us (we can accommodate up to two dogs at each site). With dog wash and dog beach, your adventure pup will be a happy camper here! Please note that the dog beach can be quite limited when the water level in the reservoir is high. When the water level is lower, it's plenty for walks, running around and playing with your pup.
We hope Paradise Shores becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite National Park, Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, June Lake, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, and the historic gold-mining town of Bodie are all within a short drive from here.

We loved Paradise Shores, the campsite we had (T4) was gorgeous in front of the reservoir and mountains. The staff was so nice and helpful. The bathroom's were very clean and the common area for cooking/cleaning was clutch. Baby goats from the next property over kept coming by to feed on the weeds, pretty darn cute.
A high-desert pleasure!
I’ve often felt that judging a good (Hipcamp) campsite is not just about location, but the little things a host does to make it more pleasant. While this spot is all what it’s about when camping in the high desert — surrounding mountains, vast horizons, and big skies — it’s the bathroom that got my attention. I know right, sounds weird, but besides being spotless, it has good soap, spare razors, and decent moisturizer for those guys who use that sort of stuff… I’ve stayed at Marriott hotels that offer less. :)
Add Peter’s communication which was prompt, welcoming, friendly and helpful with a tent site that was clean, well prepared, and just far enough from others to keep it fairly private, and you can’t go wrong.
I’ll be back. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Enjoy!
