We loved the viking cabin ! the while camp was so nice and enchanting! Art all over hte place! Beach access to the river is nearby . It a perfect place to spend time with nature. Thanks Mike and Shane!
Everywhere you look!
The Viking Cabin stay was great. We second everything that has been said about the site being a treasure trove of very random wood carvings and sculptures from Bali.
Beautiful camping site- unique- one of a kind- very much a family community environment- most campsites are very close to each other- unless you’re in the tree house or cabin and the two camping sites nearby- the entire ranch is covered in a canopy of trees- I plan to go back very soon!!!!
One-of-a-kind: unique & magical!
This is a wonderfully magical Hipcamp with a personality all its own. I brought my son here after a weekend of strenuous hiking in Yosemite and it was the perfect way to relax and wind down. We explored all the amazing art installations and secret nooks on the property and enjoyed an afternoon by the river.
Staying in the Viking Cabin worked out great. My son wanted to stay in the loft but there wasn't a safety railing next to the bed which made me nervous so we just fortified it using our camping bags, no problem. I slept on the futon. Nothing fancy but plenty comfortable and we both slept well. Really appreciated the little fridge too since we didn't have a cooler.
Even though I didn't get a chance to chat with the hosts, they were very responsive and managed the challenge of communicating with me when I had little cell reception in Yosemite.
This Hipcamp left me feeling really grateful that these folks have opened up a very special and obviously deeply loved place for others to experience. I was really touched and I will definitely be back!
The owners were very nice and welcoming! The site is just gorgeous!!! So many neat and interesting decorations are thoughtfully placed around the area. I can’t imagine the amount of work that must have gone into putting it all together. We were very impressed. 5/5
Only thing missing was tinkerbell!
Thai is seriously such a hidden gem that I am almost reluctant to share how amazing it is! The time and thought that has went into every aspect of this secret garden style … campground , which by no means is the right word, is nothing short then breathtaking. We only stayed one night which I immediately regretted , I am gonna need more time to soak it all in. The little sitting areas through out would be wonderful for quiet conversations or a good book and the art is humbling . Whoever there is the one doing the wood building and wood carving needs to be seriously recognized if they are not. The Viking cabin is just enough space with the loft and large at least queen sized bed , and although I was worried about it being uncomfortable when we got there it seriously was Perfect… whether it actually was or we were just so exhausted from our explorations 🤷🏼♀️ . I already called my girlfriends and told them we need to find time to book a girls trip there as I was there this time with my kids . The best part was feeling safe. As a single mom traveling with kids I have a tendency to be reluctant to camp. I never once felt uncomfortable even after dark. And the twinkling lights everywhere …. Well thank you. Thank you for a fabulous experience
