The property is magical and the cabin is adorable and very cosy. We spent the day wandering around the farm and the evening snuggling up by the fire. The only thing to note is that the tower shakes a lot when anyone moves around (e.g. if someone is walking upstairs you can feel it downstairs), so if you're sensitive to movement, this place might not be for you.
Oz Farm and Nutmeg was the perfect location for this birthday weekend gathering of 5. The cabin was pretty, had beds and a stove, and we loved going down to the river and playing with the frogs. We will definitely be staying at Oz Farm again!
A super rustic two story octagonal wooden cabin set on a wonderfully peaceful farm just north of Point Arena.
* The kitchenette is small, but you can make coffee easily. We had great food from the Bird Cafe and from brunch Franny's Cup and Saucer.
* Was chilly in the morning.
* You need to go outside get from downstairs to upstairs. So take some flip-flops.
* The toilet is composting and was too rustic for my partner.
* Visit B Bryan Preserve to feed a giraffe and Point Arena Lighthouse for dramatic views.
Very relaxing weekend.
Tower Cabin was awesome! When we arrived at the farm, a kind and helpful staff member met us and directed us to the cabin and recommended a hike on the property. We drove to the cabin, following very good signage, and were able to park right next to it. We didn't see any other people the rest of our stay. The cabin seemed very secluded and that was great for us. Both rooms have awesome windows and staying there felt like sleeping in a tree. We step upstairs, and the wood stove warmed both parts of the building very nicely. The outhouse even has a screened in window so you can look at the forest while you're in there.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Oz Farm in Tower Cabin. Beautiful rustic but clean space that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway from the city. The staff is super friendly and the food box was delicious!
Our stay at Oz was magical. Somehow we lucked out got the entire farm to ourselves and everything was so beautiful and peaceful. The host was so kind and gave us a tour of the farm because we were interested- what an incredible property! There are hiking trails to explore and a beautiful river, not to mention the epic farm and sweetest farm dog. Tower cabin was rad, although we ended up spending most of our time in the communal kitchen/living room. Definitely bring lighting, as there was no power in the cabin while we were there. And ask for a CSA box! We loved cooking meals in the cozy kitchen. We will definitely be back for another stay!
