Difficult to find at night. Directions are good but you don’t really know what you’re looking for since it’s just a patch of desert. Super windy, would be nearly impossible to pitch a tent in the dark. We didn’t end up staying after looking for about 20 minutes in the blusterous wind. Decided we’d get better sleep in a room with a bed.

Great patch of desert to sleep in.

Just as described, was a little hard to find coming in late at night. It is before comstock road on the left when you come down Daly. The mine and windmills make for a beautiful and strange night view. Great sunrise. No one around. Was very windy, we stayed in our roof top tent and it was shaking. Great stopping point if you need a place to park and sleep for a night.

Very remote patch of desert, just as described and easy to find. We ended up just staying on the dirt road since the property itself had a lot of low dry plants and we were concerned about fire and getting poked. The mine nearby is super cool, we enjoyed seeing the giant machines moving around, and it’s far enough that you don’t hear any disruptive noise. It’s just a patch of desert, no amenities or anything but it was a cool place to stay. Thanks!

Only qualm was 2 guys stopped by in the morning asking if I was okay. I don't think they expected campers out there. That made me a little nervous. They seemed to be helpful and nice though! Maybe I'm just a paranoid city girl when seeing small town helpfulness! :)

The sunrise is unlike anything i've seen. it's BEAUTIFUL. The listing is very accurate in that you don't want to stay in a tent here. You're downwind of a wind farm, so it is WINDY. But I had the place to myself and it was nice and quiet.

Only like 7 miles outside Mojave CA (the city, not the park), so convenient if you're just passing through. Feels a little exposed because there's nothing around and you're not super far out of town. If you have an RV, this would be perfect. I was van camping.
