A vast expanse of oak trees, California Junipers and rugged, mountainous land running with jackrabbits, quail, and owls that is just 3 miles from Vazquez Rocks and the PCT, our ranch transports you. From the tent campsite, you look out for 20 miles and see nothing but nature across small mountains and canyons all the way to the peaks of Angeles National Forest in the distance. The campsite is a large flat area. For a trailer or RV it's a great place to park and the view is towards wide open spaces. With a tent or if you want more pure nature, you can drive out onto the property further towards the small ruin of the old homesteader's cabin or beyond. The property has a long-abandoned gold mine and circular arrastres where miners used mules to break up rocks. Nearby Acton has pick-your-own apples/pears/peaches at Bloom farms. We are at 3000 feet with strong sun during the day and cool mountains air at night. The camping is set away from structures, but if you want to stroll, closer to the ranch buildings, we have friendly small goats you can visit if interested and horses and a donkey to say hello to across the corral fence.

Such a lovely space, with a lot of room to spread out if you're a group. Very quiet and private space with really nice hiking adjacent, and we enjoyed hanging out with Allen and the goats and Nelson the giant puppy. The night skies are amazing. Get the eggs if you can - they're delicious!
Any time you're camping in Southern California, you have to plan for wind, and this spot is on a bit of a canyon-side bluff that doesn't have much protection. For us, at least, the wind shut off 9p-9a so we had very comfortable peaceful nights. Just bring your good stakes if you're tent camping and you'll be fine, plus you may want some extra shade structure that can hold up to the wind as there's no trees.
It may be useful to know that the last couple miles of road are unpaved gravel/dirt, but we were in a Prius and it was totally fine.

We had an amazing time here! We did the experience with the goats & got some eggs as well :) the hosts were incredibly kind and the campsite was HUGE. They had some friendly and cute animals and Nelson the dog was fun as well! The views at sunset were stunning and there are a lot of trails in the area. Would definitely come back!

Gorgeous spot and private, respectful host!9
Great spot to set up camp! We really enjoyed our time at Allen's ranch. It was a large private area that had beautiful views. My wife and my kids loved visiting the animals, and exploring the nearby trails. We camped for 2 nights in our pop up trailer and Allen was kind enough to let us fill up our water cube. The location of the camp makes it a great spot if you are planning to visit Vasquez Rocks.

Flat site on incredible land. Solid communication. Views out to the back of the canyon are truly special.
Got there early and really was able to relax and enjoy it even with the animals nearby. Easy directions and not far away from the city at all! Quick get-a-way with tons of space to explore. Wish I had more time!
This site is private, not far from civilization and great for a quick getaway from the city, especially if you live in Los Angeles. Our dog loved the trails. It was super quiet and we got a great nights' sleep. We stayed 1 night, but wished we booked 2. Will definitely come here again.

Loved our experience! The area we camped was just past the RV parking spot. It felt remote & it had a gorgeous view of the canyon. There are horses & mules you can check out plus Allen gave our sons some food to feed his goats!

Such a cool campsite! The spot feels secluded and private. Got my RV up there no problem. The campsite was flat, very spacious, and clean. I loved walking my dogs on the trails every morning. Such a treat! I would definitely stay here again.
