Patty was lovely, she had recommendations for hikes close by, rescued us from the rain and hail, best she offered us a warm welcome. Thanks Patty
Next to the River was an ok stay for a night. It had much more of a trailer-park vibe than I expected, but I’m not familiar with RV parks. The bathroom facilities were clean and there was nice lawn to put a tent on. The location is not as isolated as the pictures seem to depict (neighbors on three sides, including roosters), and there were a few areas with old cars and junk collecting.
This was the perfect place to camp with my family. 6 kids with 2 tents. Had plenty of space. Enjoyed the hot showers and clean bathrooms. Great base camp for exploring the Redwoods. And Patti was the best host.
I really enjoyed staying here. Everyone was super friendly. The place felt safe. There was good bathrooms with hot showers and laundry.
We enjoyed our stay. Very clean bathrooms. Large tent site. Wifi only works near the host site, but that’s ok. Friendly host, knowledgeable about the area.
We would stay here again.
A little out of the way, but a nice Campground.
Nice grassy site. Bathroom is old but clean.
Patti was kind and helpful. Spot was level and bathrooms seemed clean. Patti even offered to scrape together enough gas for me to make it to the gas station (which I ended up not needing.) Thanks, Patti!
By the River was great. It can accommodate everything from RVs to tents. It's not huge, maybe 8-10 RVs were grouped near the full hookup sites. We were able to park our little camper van on the grass near the edge, well away from the RVs. A small standpipe in our campsite provided water. Bathrooms were clean with flush toilets and hot showers. Best of all, it was only $40/night. There was no cell service but you can get wifi near the office where there are benches to sit on. Patti does a great job.
