This spot was so perfect, my Buddy and I got in late and it was super easy to find in the dark. Great location, didn’t see a soul till the morning. Would definitely come back!

This campground was amazing! It had a tetherball court, games, a place to put your dog, fire pits, a table, bathrooms, and was so beautiful at night! It was really peaceful and had the best spot to look at the stars. Our host Paul was so welcoming and kind to us. Will definitely camp here again!

Overall pretty good and quiet location. Paul was quick to respond and offer any help needed. A little on the pricey side, but there is great potential for this newer campsite to become a top notch spot! They have a bonus small enclosed dog park. The entire place is very clean and well maintained.

We had a great weekend on Paul's land with 3 cars, 7 people, and 3 dogs. As soon as we arrived, Paul drove up and unlocked the fire pit for us. Later, when we pulled our van (5000 lb) on the land and got stuck, we messaged him and he was back quickly to help pull us out; our other two cars had no issues getting stuck. The dog pen in the middle of the site was useful. Porta potties were very clean. There are picnic tables for use as well.

Despite forecasts saying high of 75 and low of 50, be prepared for it to feel hotter during the day and colder at night. Bring shade and firewood! Also, be prepared to hear coyotes and the farm animals from Paul's nearby farm (with hogs, chickens, sheep!) at sundown! Definitely not in the city anymore out here. :)

Communication was easy and fast on the HipCamp app.

Beautiful views. There is a side road near by that sometimes has loud cars zooming past. The moon was so bright there was little need for a flashlight. Excellent places to park vehicles. They even have a concrete pad available for the heavier vehicles that might be challenged in the sandy conditions. Surrounded by beautiful desert with all the typical sounds ...coyotes screaming at sundown, chickens crowing just before sun up, you can even hear horses and all kids of farm animals. Sites come with a picnic table and a fire barrel

5/5 Stars; I would leave six out of five if I could. The site was exceptional clean and cute. Paul (the host) was extremely accommodating and provided excellent communication. Would definitely stay again when I come back to J-Tree

It was amazing tent camping at mesquite moon! The location was perfect for our getting around and hiking in Joshua tree. We found some great local lunch spots as well as had an awesome time cooking out at our campsite and watching all the stars with a campfire burning while we talked into the night. There were other guests at the property and we barely heard them. Completely safe, secluded while still within reach of all the things we wanted to do and be near. We brought dogs and they were completely safe and I felt more than comfortable with them being there (they are my babies). The next time we are visiting 29 palms or Joshua tree, we will DEFINITELY be staying at mesquite moon again. We hope to show the beautiful spot to all of our friends! Thank you to mesquite moon for being such an amazing host! Can’t wait to go back :)
