Really nice, the picnic table is right below the Cabin a little ways, very close to our Bear proof food storage locker that doubles as a car. Just kidding, there aren't bears, but there are plenty of other smaller critters that will get into your food if you leave it out. Plus there is a nice bocce ball court across the road since no cars are parked there.

Lovely location, simple, historic cabins with reasonably comfortable mattresses (they have plywood under them so don't "golden gate" as some of the ones with spring boards do). Staff were friendly, and occupancy was very low, so it felt covid safe as you could avoid going when others were in (plus the bathrooms were super well ventilated and very clean by campground standards). Notably the weather was perfect- halfway between the too hot of the Anderson Valley and the too cool of the coast. It was sunny and between 65 and 75 while we were there. Do bring warm bedding as it gets cool in the early morning hours.

Mendocino Woodlands is fantastic! The cabins are quaint and comfortable, the hikes are spectacular, and the swimming hole is not to be missed. We had a truly amazing time! Oh: don’t forget the bug spray. There mosquitoes were a bit of a chore.
