Creepy! awesome! exciting! beautif!
This was really cool and creepy because me and my husband went alone got there late after dark. We didn’t have but one neighbor. Once we settled in and the fire was going we realized how amazing it is. It’s so quiet. I loved the evening but in the morning I wish I had some curtains as we sleep in the nude lol. I will definitely come back and do some more exploring. I think I might try a group of people next time. This is still hardcore camping and there is no WiFi. As long as u know how to enjoy this you will appreciate what it has to offer. Loved it!!!
Cabin 11 stay
Mendocino Woodlands is a very nice place. When we arrived on the site, they welcomed us nicely. Cyrus was very nice and helpful. The cabin was very nice and clean. I recommend to bring sleeping bag and a nice warm sweaters and sweat pants for it gets really cold at night. The shared bathroom was very clean and well maintained as well. The trails and the forest was very nice to reconnect with the nature. This place is a very good place if you wanna escape the city for a little bit. We will definitely be back here.
Had a great family stay at the woodlands. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cabins were very basic but just what we needed. The hot showers were great and we appreciated having a washroom for dishes. If you don’t mind things a little rustic you’re rewarded with solitude and endless trails. We can’t wait to stay again!
Amazing stay, but come prepared!!
We loved our stay here at Historic Camping and would definitely come back again, however the listing is missing some very important notes: there are no bed sheets, or blankets included so you have to bring all your own sleeping equipment, there is no electricity at the cabin so be sure to bring battery packs, there are no curtains, or insulation so the cabin gets very cold at night, and lastly, the google map point that shows up with the address is incorrect (you actually need to keep driving another few miles before you see the sign).
If you come prepared, you will have a blast. The cabins are situated in the middle of the forest and the peace & tranquility of the area is hard to beat!
