Mendocino Woodlands is a magical place. Redwoods, ferns, quaint rustic cabins, hiking, and and a beautiful river running through it all. The facilities are very well-kept and the staff is really friendly. My understanding is that they typically only rent the camps out for events, but just recently started renting out individual cabins due to the pandemic. Worth a visit while you can

Lovely weekend in the woods

We lucked out with our timing and spent a lovely cool weekend in the woods, avoiding the heat wave that baked the Bay Area. The cabins and shower/bath house are rustic but perfectly comfortable. The water in the utility room gets nice and hot for washing dishes. Be prepared for a long, slow drive in. We hiked the Big Tree trail (lovely!) and enjoyed the swimming hole, plus a day in Fort Bragg and Mendocino.
