A real gem of a hipcamp.
This is one of the best HipCamps I have stayed at. Acres of fields for disperse camping. Flat graded entry and easy access to potable water. Very relaxing and quiet. Fantastic sunsets. Phone reception is decent here. Matt is very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this camp.
Matt was a great host! He was great communicator and available for any questions I had.
The camping was open field camping, and Matt let me pick any location I wanted.
I found a nice position facing the sunset with great views in all directions. Very quiet at night and had some great clear star filled sky and fresh air.
Overall great experience, thanks!
Great & quiet spot with great scenery of the neighboring vineyards & animals grazing the hills! Matt's ranch is quite vast, so there are so many places to set up camp for full privacy & isolation; just need to find a flat patch of dirt & you're good to go. If visiting during dry/warm season, it can get a little dusty because of the dry grass, so make sure to pack your favorite allergy meds just in case.
Lots of space ans wineries
Great property with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Huge field to ourselves! Matt was super attentive, even moved a swing set with his tractor for the kids. Amenities includes water but no toilet, so you need a RV (which we had). It can be very hot and there is no shade (we brought our own awning). It can be windy too (one day was and one day wasn’t). Wineries are within a few minutes ride (bring your bicycles). All in all we loved it and matt told us about plans to add a fire pit and more, so we’ll have to come back.
Beautiful setting....would definitely recommend this. We went to The Ranch at Cross Road, closer to home, to practice our tent set up. The host, Matt, is quick with answering questions and even though he had to step away from the property, he still had someone meet us and help us with any questions. We had a nice evening under the stars. This property is a nice location, although it would be add to the property if facilities were present (ex: toilet, picnic table, etc). Possibly a great location for RV’s. Thanks!
Wineries and wide open spaces
Wonderful place to stay so close to everything in the South Bay area. Super friendly host that greeted me at the gate. There are nice improvements being made each day for the guests to enjoy. I chose to stay out in the field.
Enjoyed our stay!
We stayed here for a weekend and Matt was a great host. He greeted us on arrival and showed us a good spot. In fact all spots are well spaced out, flat and have beautiful views.
There are many upgrades in the works, like a swing and a fire pit. So we will be back soon!
