We really enjoyed our stay at site #4 at Manzanita Camping & C0. Matt was very responsive during the booking process and answered all of our questions about the area and even had some great recommendations. The campsite itself is nice and clean and there is a communal area to collect potable water where they also have several nice flushing restrooms as well. The thick canvas tents and fire pits that were provided were an added bonus and meant that we didn't have to pack our own tent or firewood. The best part though has to be the private beach on the South Fork of the American River. We spent the day on the beach with our dog just relaxing and cooling off in the water. We are looking forward to returning again in the fall.
I loved staying at Manzanita Camping and Co. The campground is about 45 minutes from Sacramento. The sites are spacious and spread apart from each other. The campsites are away from the main road. It is a quiet campground with an awesome private beach to sit and relax and watch the rafters go by. I look forward to my next trip. I will definitely stay at this campground again.
Our second time camping here in just four weeks, and I just can't say enough good things about the spot--secluded, beautiful, close to the river--and about Matt as a host, who is kind, thoughtful, and an excellent communicator. Stay here, you won't regret it.
