Welcome to Lovey's Landing on the Sacramento River!
Our story goes back to the 1930s when a “slide” was used to put boats in the river (unfortunately, the slide is no longer in use, but you can see it when you visit!). Since then, a marina, RV park, and Restaurant and Bar (currently closed) have been added. It's a great staging area for any valley or river expedition. This is an old-school sort of place with a lot of farmers and ranchers around. Fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts love it here!
A meadow of pastoral trees provides shade on some campsites. Pitch a tent on an acre of mowed grass or go with more creature comforts and bring your RV. Our tent camping area allows you to enjoy lots of room between other campers. We do have full hook-up RV sites; however, you must call directly to reserve those sites if available. (Call: 530-696-2449 opt 1). We also have a small marina and boat slip rentals available.
Walk the Sacramento River for miles on the levee road. We are nestled in one of the greatest nut-growing areas in the world. We are the closest camping area to the Sutter Buttes “The smallest mountain range in the world”. We also happen to be in the Sutter Basin, or "great sink." Here, many types of winter waterfowl pass through the Pacific Flyway. Check out the many local wildlife refuges nearby.
Bring a boat, kayak, or a float tube. (If floating, please inquire with all rules and safety measures from local professionals, guides, government authorities and Lovey's Landing. Floating is at your own risk.) Enjoy watching the river scenery, fishing, otters playing, beavers building, deer grazing, ospreys, and other birds taking flight.
Since October 2023, we have updated our bathrooms and added new signs to our front entrance. Please note that Google maps may take you a little past the sign (we're working on fixing this!), so be on the lookout for our new sign!
We look forward to you staying with us at Lovey’s Landing!
