A really nice spot with great views of the stars. Our night was clear and calm, we say a few shooting stars and were warm with the thick blankets they provided. It was a unique and memorable experience.

We had a nice relaxing time here! At night the wind breeze kept us cool and we were able to sleep through the night. Saw a few shooting stars. My pup was so excited to run around the place . There was another group of very friendly campers there - even fed my pup from the food they grilled ! The hosts and their pups gave us a warm welcome and a tour and then gave us our space to relax. Would def recommend to anyone needed to get out of the city for a recharge

Mikey was a fantastic host—responsive and welcoming. Super nice family and awesome property. We slept under the moon, the moonlight was so bright you could see your shadow. Awesome spot, would definitely stay again.

Beautiful and remote. We were lucky to have a clear night with a late moonrise, we were able to clearly see the Milky Way. Nobody was on the adjacent campsite and it was so quiet. Mikey was super responsive and helpful. The only thing to know is that the dirt access road was a bit bumpy and requires some careful navigation for a low-to-the-ground car (we have an Impreza, was fine, just had to go slow). Overall, great stay, would visit again.

Had a great stay at Lovelight Ranch. I stayed for one night for a last minute stargazing trip chasing the new moon. It wasn't during a particular meteor shower, but I saw plenty of shooting stars, including a fireball meteor! I’d definitely come back for future stargazing trips.

This place is halfway between an Airbnb and a campsite, which is what I was looking for. For me, it was the best of both worlds: a nice place to get away for the weekend on short notice without needing to pack for a full on camping trip. I was impressed with the quality of the amenities, like the kitchen, shower, bathroom, and fridge. Certainly a step “up” from a campsite. I enjoyed meeting the hosts and getting a tour of the place. It’s also a bit more “in civilization” than a campsite. There’s a date farm just two miles up the road that I stopped by, and you might see or hear neighboring animals / farms. There’s good signal here and I had no trouble with GPS navigation. That part of the experience felt much more like an Airbnb, though this is my first time using Hipcamp, so maybe that's more normal of the listings here that offer lodging.

There's a lot more on this property than just the stargazer bed listed here. There’s the host’s home right next to it, the kitchen structure, an artists’ studio, a play structure, and lots of art scattered about. It’s not a “campsite” in that sense, but seeing part of my hosts’ lives and their artwork is part of my travel experience! There is a lot of artwork on display in the studio; these are some talented hosts!!

The night I stayed, the wind was ferocious and the stargazing conditions just so-so; it was a bit hazy and cloudy. You get a great view of the sky and the Milky Way, but it’s still less dark than going to a proper dark sky site with perfect conditions. The wind was so strong I had trouble talking over it and eventually, sleeping. There were also neighboring animals that kept some of my group up. True to the listing, there are a many beds on the property to choose from in various locations, with varying degrees of shelter, so I moved halfway through the night. Overall, between having a clear view of the sky and comfortable amenities, I’d choose to come back for future stargazing. The animal noises and wind do fall in the category of “ah, good to know” before your trip, though!

Mikey was a gracious and responsive host. My group and I felt very well taken care of!!
