We loved our stay here! The land is beautiful. The pond and Mountain views are gorgeous and this space is very quiet and peaceful. Mary Jo and Rich were above and beyond accommodating and hospitable and gave us plenty of information on the area and made us feel at home immediately. There are lots of awesome additions here like the outdoor shower, toilet, bbq, trash, etc that a lot of other hip camps don’t have, and we loved that we were right in the redwoods and such a close drive to some really beautiful scenic spots. We had a really rejuvenating stay here and would definitely come back!

We had a great time staying on this property. We especially appreciated Hank and Willy (the two dogs)! They played wonderfully with our pup Ollie. One comment for improvement would be to take more advantage of the flat space on the rest of the property for hipcampers. We did have some challenge leveling our campsite. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

The hosts were very friendly, and the yurt was cute- they set it up with beers and ice cold waters, and a little welcome message on a chalkboard. A bit of an odd set up, tho, with a Port-a-potty and the bathroom of a parked campervan on site near the hosts’ home as the bathroom options.

The hosts were very friendly and the spot was beautiful! We weren't there during the day, so I'm not sure how hot it got, but the mornings and evenings were very pleasant.

Hidden Hills Camping was an amazing experience!
The hosts were so kind, considerate and accomidating. They had made picnic tables, offered the use of their BBQ, and their two sweet dogs were a highlight for our kids. They offered brouchures and many local experience recommendations as well. They went above and beyond to have us feel welcome and have an excelent time. We were able to enjoy camping, nature, and widlife, as well as exploring the Redwoods, visiting the river, and even a trip to the ocean. Deer came down to the pond that hosted ducks, frogs, and fish. Although we were initially worried because the weather was supposed to be hot, it cooled down at night and was very comfortable. Thank you M.J. and R. ♥️

The location is quite remote so it’s great if you want to unplug. Beware that the road leading to the site is quite narrow and some locals drive fast up and down the windy path. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They stopped by a few times to give advice regarding the local area and even brought treats for the kids and our dogs! The staff was also super friendly and surprisingly shared their meal with us. We had our trailer with us but a potential minor downside is that if you don’t have your own amenities, the porta potties as well as their RV (for shower) is a slight trek back up a steep hill. The kids had a great time at the pond despite the abundant algae and moss which made fishing challenging. The resident dogs are so cute and would come running down the hill to greet us when we returned from our daily excursion. They roam free so we’ve had to pick up their poo and initially needed to watch them carefully as they marked some of our items on the first day. Luckily it was an easy clean up and no more messes after the initial meet and greet. Our dogs are easygoing and got along with them. Overall it was a great stay and conveniently located to visit the redwoods. Check out their yurts; it looked really cozy and something to consider when booking your stay.
