While it isn't the most private of campgrounds, it was a good home base after a days hiking. The host was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms took a beating after labor day weekend but they have ice cream!
Rural camping with incredible views
Nice little rural campsite in the heart of kings canyon. The were bathrooms onsite (no shower), grills, picnic tables and had ice cream, gas, and drinks for purchase. The family who ran the campground were super nice and sweet. The campsite got very cool in the evening, and the view of the canyon is incredible, as well as the stars at night. We stayed in a camper van and would stay here again. Very rural, but thats our style.
Didn’t spend a lot of time on the prototype but very easy to set up. Great location especially with a dog companion. RV spaces are tight, next time I would grab a group or tent spot.
We came late at night and there was no map or directions so we had trouble finding the site. The bathroom was sort of dirty. The resort was pretty nice it had a gas station and gathering area for families. It had a sewage hole for the evening which was great because most places do not have that especially in such remote areas. The campsite was about 30 min from the kings canyon visitor center which was great.
Location, location, location
Our stay here was fantastic. The location between the 2 parks makes it ideal to see everything the parks have to offer. The resort offers gas, beer, ice and ice cream as well. Mike the host was above and beyond helpful. He had great suggestions for what to do and see, and even volunteered to assist with a couple RV issues. We would highly recommend this location for an RV vacation.
