*SEASONAL WATER in King Creek Valley Ranch in the San Diego Mountain area.

Our sites are listed as follows:

#1 Meadow Campsite - Perfect for hosting large parties, best site for family gatherings/reunions, flat meadow, seasonal green grass. Largest of all campgrounds. Perfect for larger trailers. Camp under oak trees.

#2 RV Campsite - Where we first were going to build our house. Up the hill next to an older vintage RV (not usable) but very convenient for other RVs with parking and seclusion. Closest to larger outhouse and swing.

#3 Lake Campsite - Historical dam, backed up on cliffs with great sky and mountain views. Star watching is incredible. Can still bring RV here as well. Not recommended for larger travel trailers. Closer outhouse. Great for families. Tire swing and pond.

#4 Flat Rock Campsite - Historical American Indian flat rock. Seasonal creek water. Can see our trailer, gorgeous sunset and sky views. No trailers/RVs allowed. Tent camping only.

#6 Pat's Camp - Beautiful valley campsite under the oak trees next to the crawdad pools. Not recommended for trailers or small cars. Very secluded. Swing and oak trees.

Loved the secluded location of Sugar and Berry Ranch. Disappointed that we didn’t get the site we booked (Meadow) because it was given to another guest the night before we arrived. So we were placed at the Boy Scout site. It was ok, but not what we expected or planned for. There was a stagnant pond nearby and a ton of flys and mosquitoes because of it. Less trees than the other site and less flat areas for tent setup for our group of 8 with 2 large tents. The only positive was the tree swing for the kids. The dogs were friendly and joined us on multiple walks, but we had to tell the dogs to leave at 3 am because they were loudly snooping though our stuff and trying to get in the trash can (trash was bagged and tied off). Other than that, it was nice. Nearby outhouse and water was provided.

We really enjoyed camping under oak trees. It was flat and secluded to set up the camping tents. Plenty of vegetation surrounding the campsite.

We loved staying here. We stayed at Pat’s camp, it was very secluded. There was a lot of poison oak at that site but the rest were pretty clear of it. We went through the trails and were given tips by Richard when we arrived and when we wanted to explore a bit more and learn some about the area. The dogs came around a bit and our son loved playing with them. We can’t wait to go back again. Our son is already planning our next stays.

It’s a beautiful spot, shade, quiet and a great sunset. We wish there was still water there but we enjoyed the trip a lot.

We stayed at the RV site and it was so cool! I loved that it felt secluded but you knew that if you needed help there were plenty of people not too far away. Though the creek isn’t running by the campsite, it was still so pretty and had plenty of green and growth around. I was also so grateful that the site had a table and some extra chairs to get comfy around the fire. It was also pleasant to get a visit from Barry now and then when he came to check on us 😊

Saying hi to Barry! This is what the RV campsite looks like. Pretty secluded!

Very beautiful and secluded camping grounds. We went during the week so there were no other campers, it was a very chill and tranquil experience.

The host was very nice to clear the road for us the day we left, since we had brought a sedan. They weren't joking about needing a 4-wheel drive, next time I will be sure to bring one.

Overall we had a great time. The only detractor I can think of is that one of the property's dogs had a habit of chewing our shoes. We weren't very cross about it, but they should really train them not to do that.

We had a great time. Feels like you’re getting off the grid. We stayed at flat rock. No shade at the tent site but plenty below near the creek.

Very accommodating hosts. Dogs were accommodating too. Haha.

We will be back.

Carlotta’s campsites felt very private and like the whole land was yours alone! It was a great campsite in proximity to an amazing hike three sister falls, there were no mosquitos at night which NEVER happens and Carlotta met us immediately on arrival to guide us to the site so we had no problems finding it. Her and her husband were ultra accommodating. Best part was they had precious dogs that came by our site and kicked it with us every night. Well behaved and just the icing on the cake. Outhouse was super clear too, they supplied water, everything was great I’d go back. Just not accessible for some cars look out!
