King and Queen of the Mountain! 800 ft elevation. 360 degree views in highly agricultural farming area. Retired Avocado Grove... Bring your tent!  Enjoy quiet and peaceful scenery yet within 20 min to downtown Vista home to many breweries like Wave Length, Mother Earth, Belching Beaver and a variety of dining options as well, 30 min to Carlsbad or Oceanside beach, 30 min to Temecula wineries.

Bring your golf clubs and some balls! We have a driving mat ready for your enjoyment.

There are 3 designated tent spots. Site 1: Tent only, Site 2: RV or tent, Site 3: Tent only. Only spot 2 can accommodate an RV. Designated parking spots for tent campers.

Want the whole mountain to your self? We encourage booking all 3 sites for an exclusive and private experience. This is basic camping for now. No one lives on the property, owner is off site but nearby. No large RV's over 22' because it wouldn't be safe on the existing road. Improvements are on the horizon including a private bathroom hut, outside shower and wash sink in the works. Please be patient as we continue to improve this lovely site.

This campsite was awesome. We were looking for something private and somewhat remote so our dogs wouldn’t bother anyone- this was perfect. The paved road was very manageable with our small camper and the 360 degree views were amazing. The porta potty was super clean and the benches, spool table and chairs were a nice touch. I wouldn’t say this is a wilderness area but there’s lots of wildlife and beautiful orchards and other agricultural operations all around. Lots of mowed flat areas for tents, tables, etc.

The Haunt-A-Cado is a simple, lovely place to spend the night! A nice drive into the agricultural hills above Oceanside take you to a Hilltop clearing with great views and a very handy table and chairs. Communication with Kimberlee was clear and responsive. I am looking forward to to returning and seeing how they grow this spot!

Perched high on a small mesa, this site has the most beautiful views! My family had a wonderful time. The Haunt-A-Cado features the best of both worlds - it is fairly close to many of the wonderful city amenities the North County area has to offer, but still far enough removed and quiet. Kimberlee is a great host, and was very quick to answer all my inquiries. She has many excellent ideas for the future of the site. I am looking forward to coming back and experiencing it again with even more improvements and amenities!

Porta Potty was very clean.A view of some citrus trees on the property.Another area at the Haunt-A-Cado site.Another view of our tent setup.

Cool flat area to camp, view is pretty neat all the way around and easily accessible. Great having a restroom and some chairs already there. Bring water!

Kimberlee was great, super helpful after a long day of driving I was pleased to have found this place. Beautiful sunset. Felt like a safe place to car camp. There were coyotes all night & I did actually see two of them only about 250FT from me in the morning while having coffee. I passed up two state parks because they were 30$ a night & I’m doing this on a tight budget but since I was exhausted I couldn’t look any longer & chose to stay. Wish I’d went ahead and stayed at the park because I could have had full amenities for 30$ Regardless I do recommend this place

Beautiful campground, but more than aesthetics, it is a peaceful and relaxing place to be in. We loved that there was plenty to explore if you want to walk around. At night you can hear the Coyotes howling but they are just doing their thing.
