Awesome views with lots of privacy
This campsite was awesome. We were looking for something private and somewhat remote so our dogs wouldn’t bother anyone- this was perfect. The paved road was very manageable with our small camper and the 360 degree views were amazing. The porta potty was super clean and the benches, spool table and chairs were a nice touch. I wouldn’t say this is a wilderness area but there’s lots of wildlife and beautiful orchards and other agricultural operations all around. Lots of mowed flat areas for tents, tables, etc.
The Haunt-A-Cado is a simple, lovely place to spend the night! A nice drive into the agricultural hills above Oceanside take you to a Hilltop clearing with great views and a very handy table and chairs. Communication with Kimberlee was clear and responsive. I am looking forward to to returning and seeing how they grow this spot!
Beautiful views on the mesa
Perched high on a small mesa, this site has the most beautiful views! My family had a wonderful time. The Haunt-A-Cado features the best of both worlds - it is fairly close to many of the wonderful city amenities the North County area has to offer, but still far enough removed and quiet. Kimberlee is a great host, and was very quick to answer all my inquiries. She has many excellent ideas for the future of the site. I am looking forward to coming back and experiencing it again with even more improvements and amenities!
Kimberlee was great, super helpful after a long day of driving I was pleased to have found this place. Beautiful sunset. Felt like a safe place to car camp. There were coyotes all night & I did actually see two of them only about 250FT from me in the morning while having coffee. I passed up two state parks because they were 30$ a night & I’m doing this on a tight budget but since I was exhausted I couldn’t look any longer & chose to stay. Wish I’d went ahead and stayed at the park because I could have had full amenities for 30$ Regardless I do recommend this place
Relaxing and a pure feel of nature
Beautiful campground, but more than aesthetics, it is a peaceful and relaxing place to be in. We loved that there was plenty to explore if you want to walk around. At night you can hear the Coyotes howling but they are just doing their thing.
