We have a Julian address but are actually in the Wynola area between Julian and Santa Ysabel.  During Julian's gold rush in the 1870's,  the open fields of Wynola Flats were a tent city for miners searching for gold in the Coleman Creek area, where gold was first discovered.  Wynola is considered "The Banana Belt" around here; a little lower in altitude, it is always a bit warmer and a lot less windy than Julian and surrounding mountains.

Stayed for one VERY cold night last week. The site was awesome, and there was only one other camper there. I only briefly met Tom, and he was very friendly and welcoming. Next year, when spring turkey season opens, I'll definitely come back.

We had a wonderful time in Tom and Barbara's garden. Far away from the action but still close enough to the village to walk to one of the many Pumpkin Patches, test the best bakery in the area (it was super delicious) and taste some cider. The farm was as described. Without much comfort but with very accommodating hosts. The nature was right in front and there was even some autumn leaves to see. thank you. we'll come back sometime.

Easy to find, just off of rural 78. Hosts very easy going and friendly on arrival with packet of “to-do” things in the area. 4 camp sites available but we had the place to ourselves! It was quiet and perfect for a night to camp out. Would definitely come again!

My friend and I wanted a last minute getaway for the first day of fall and headed to Julian. This site couldn’t have been in a better location... we biked uphill to Julian for lunch and cider and then came down to Wynola for mead, more cider, a farm festival and finished with pizza. Everything was very close to the camp. The site itself was very pretty with horses in the distance and an awesome tree that we hung hammocks on. Since we were gone most of the day we didn’t get to meet the hosts, but they graciously let us arrive early so that we could start our bike ride from the campsite. I would definitely stay here again!

I booked super last minute but Tom responded right away and gave me super easy directions. I just needed a quick little spot out of town and it was exactly what I needed. The oak tree was beautiful and just perfect for a weekend getaway in Julian.
