Views, baloons, hookups & winery's
A great location for those of you looking to enjoy wine country. The hot air balloons flew right over our heads. We went in winter, so no grapes were growing. The full hook ups were easy to use and clean. Arrive during the daylight, as the area is very dark. Bring your bikes. The lot is flat, but contains gravel. You will need to bring your own table and chairs if you want to eat outside. There are 2 roosters next to the hooks ups that started cockadoodledooing at 330 and 630 am, so bring a noise machine or ear plugs if you aren't an early riser. We will be back for sure! We never saw the hosts, but were very responsive to texts if you need anything.
Quiet retreat in wine country
The spot is perfect for a quiet weekend. The views are spectacular- sunrises & hot air balloons launching. The location is perfect, all the wineries are close by & old town is just a few minutes drive.
Joel is a really nice host
Joel’s wine camp is awesome!
This was our first hip camp reservation and we are hooked. The property is beautiful and did not disappoint. Hot air balloons came out on demand each morning and we enjoyed feeding the chickens! Our host, Joel, had great directions on how to get their and was very responsive to all my questions. The property is quiet and we felt like we were in our own private campground.. It is close to the wineries and we enjoyed walking to A couple of the wineries that were close. At the end of a long day with 2 small dogs we enjoyed hitching a ride back from a neighbor on his golf cart! We look forward to returning to this place and trying other hip camps.
This place was the best! There were amazing mountain and vineyard views with hot air balloons in the morning.
And....we couldn’t visit enough wineries.
Joel was gracious, and we can’t thank him enough.
Amazing wine camping experience!
Joel and his wife were absolutely wonderful hosts! The camping spot is beautifully decorated with lots of room to enjoy the gorgeous view! We will definitely recommend to all our family and friends!
Sweet spot in heart of wine country
The location was amazing! You are right in the heart of wine country- can't get much better than that. A couple notes on location- the bike and walking trails are actually the roads (some dirt roads and some heavy trafficked main roads) so you won't want to use them after dark and should bring a helmet and a mountain bike if you're planning on biking. We didn't think all of that through but were able to easily use Uber/Lyft to get to some venues with Live Music at night (Lorimar and Somerset, both super fun). Also you are right next to a house/backyard so just be aware of that. We saw people out in the pool when we first got there but they didn't bother us at all. Neither did the hens or bunny rabbits but they were fun to look at, and the dog only barked when my partner tried to get up close and talk to it through the fence. We saw tons of beautiful birds too.
The sewer and water hookups were right there and easy to use with a variety of adapters. It made for a great first experience in a borrowed camper van. Highly recommend :-)
