Amazing views! Plenty of privacy from other campers. Larry responded quickly and was readily available.

I loved Larry’s land and there was a lot to go check out and discover! We took many walks through the land and found many interesting rock formations. Some like almost a kings throne where it has an indent like a chair as you sit out over all of Simi Valley! It was honestly the most relaxing trip me and my bf have had in a min we slept for about 12 hrs! If you continue to check out the land you will see views of all of LA as well but you have to go out and hike a bit for those. So the main thing I have to rant and rave about is the fire pit!!!! It’s huge!!!!! It honestly made camping like 1000% better having that fire to roast our dinner over the fire and just chill and relax by it. Not many places let you do that in CA. The only downfall no horsies but they were just at a different ranch I believe that day! Larry was an awesome host though directions are actually really straight forward but write them down just in case. FYI it’s hot up there you will need sunscreen lol

This site was moderately difficult to get to. The text instructions do not match the maps pin that is provided. We followed the Google Maps instruction to the dropped pin. Following the pin, we got to a gate that looked locked and went up a small dirt road up a hill. The road was small, fitting only one car. We got to the pin, which lead us to an intersection, and we had to guess which way to find the actually site. The only way we knew it was the site was because of a trailer that was there that matched the pictures online and two portapotties.
The camping experience was great. Secluded, stunning views of LA and also very close. There was a firepit that made it safe for a campfire, but it was pretty deep so it was difficult to roast anything without longer skewers. Not many bugs except the small ones attracted to light. There were some fire ants that bothered our dog, but did not bother us at the camp.
I would recommend to the next person that books this place to ensure they're able to contact the host, Larry. Larry has a lot of tips and hospitality so it would be amiss to not let him show you around! He'll help you find the campsite and provide water. Larry is very amicable and understanding of our situation!
While there were some errors with the booking and description of the campsite initially, the actual camping area is incredible. lots of space, incredible view, and a few friendly horses to keep you company. It was very secluded (in a great way) but was still super accessible from the valley.
