This campsite truly lives up to its name, it is the perfect Hideaway when you need to escape for a bit. The campsite is very secluded. I was solo car camping (and I'm female) so seclusion was important to me. There's another campsite on the property but this one is set far back from that one and you can't even hear the other campers. Neil and Karin have thought of everything for this site. The outhouse is supplied with toilet paper and even has wet ones for your hands. Because it's so secluded it gets really dark at night but they lined the path to the bathroom with solar lights and sprinkled throughout the campsite. They left a jug of water to use on the fire too. Speaking of Neil and Karin, they are both incredible hosts. They came down to make sure I found the site ok and Karin even came back the next morning to make sure my night went well. Before you arrive they gave very detailed instructions on how to get to the campsite & they posted arrows and solar lights along the way too. The walking trail on the property offers incredible views especially around sunset. Because it gets so dark at night, the star gazing is incredible. You can literally see the milky way. Everything about this site is perfect and I will absolutely be coming back the next time I need an escape.

We had a wonderful time at this campground.
Great campground and host.
Hosts were very kind to us and provided us with the greatest level of support.
And a very cute and friendly dog also welcomes you.
The facilities are clean and well maintained, with indirect lighting to facilitate access to the bathrooms at night.
I would go back to this campground again.
And I highly recommend this campground.

My gf and I had a great time staying at Neil’s campsite. Although we would’ve found the site ourselves, him and his wife showed us around anyways. The site was well prepared with a table, campfire spot and lights that work at night leading to the bathroom. We didn’t have any trouble at site and would definitely love to come again!

We had a great experience camping at Hideaway Oaks! The camping area was wide, quiet, and secluded enough so you feel you have the whole land. The provided driving directions were very straightforward and finding the site was not difficult. Neil’s son Roger took very good care of us, stopping by occasionally to check up on us and making sure we were comfortable. Thank you Roger! There was a small hiking trail by our campsite which we took for a small walk at night. Walking up to the ridge with a full moon lead to incredible views of the whole valley. The flushable toilets were a great addition. All in all a great experience and we will definitely be coming again!
