Great amenities and communal spaces
We had a lovely stay at Heartwood Mendocino! The property is gorgeous and so well designed. The indoor communal rec room, showers, bathroom, and outdoor ares were all lovely. Cabin #4 sits directly next to Cabin #3. If traveling with a group, I would recommend attempting to book cabins #3 and #4 for a more private and quiet area in evening. If other parties are present you'll be able to clearly hear everything in your neighboring canvas tent and vice-versa. The heated beds are a game-changer, too! It dipped all the way down to around 30F the night we stayed yet we still found ourselves turning the heated beds down in power as they are so efficient and warm. Would recommend!
Very special place to stay nestled in the Mendocino redwoods - access to biking and hiking trails, beaches and parks can’t be beat. The cabins were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed - towels, warm beds, lanterns. Staying outdoors with heated bathrooms, hot showers and heated breakfast room was a treat, and the owners have added beautiful touches of ceramic art and solar lanterns throughout an already beautiful property.
We cooked quite a bit in the kitchen area which was set up perfectly for a camp kitchen, with most of the plateware/utensils you need provided!
Super cute spot!
Sweet little spot that has pretty much everything you need. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and showers. It was pouring when we were there, so we didn’t use the outdoors kitchen, but it looked nice. I definitely recommend checking the weather ahead of time and bring lots of layers if you want to do anything but lie in the heated bed in the tent cabin. It was so cold we couldn’t really hang out outside of bed! I also recommend making sure you bring a headlamp and there isn’t much lighting to get from tent to bathroom or anywhere else after dark.
I would definitely come back!
Khamoor's cabins are modern, comfortable, and natural. They're nestled beautifully into the landscape, include many little thoughtful touches, and just shine. We kept noticing little details that were well thought-out. Khamoor's definitely building something excellent out there, and it's worth the price of admission just to see it in progress.
Great experience from beginning to end. Camp kitchen was really great and had everything needed to make a great meal. Room was really nicely decorated and heated beds really made for a cozy sleeping experience even with 50 degree temps. Bathrooms were top notch. Great first "camping" experience for my toddler
Overall enjoyable experience, that I'd come back to again.
It is a nice way to have the opportunity to get off the grid, but be a reasonable distance away from being to get back on. There are great hiking trails nearby.
Bathrooms and showers were kept very clean.
The host was super friendly, and dropped by to ensure everything was okay. They also gave fantastic recommendations for breakfast.
The cabin was spotless and thoughtfully appointed... including with extra comfy (heated) beds, The grounds are amazing with a spa quality shared bath house. We booked last minute, but getting to the cabin and tucked inside was as simple as could be. Very highly recommended :-)
Wonderful place to stay that truly earns the "glamping" label!
Upon arriving and taking a look around, my friends and I immediately agreed that our accommodations were the lap of luxury. Beautiful wooden A-frame tents with hardwood floors, lovely decor, lights, and electric outlets, as well as clean tasteful bathrooms.
Khamoor was a cheery, kind and attentive hostess, with helpful advice on the local landscape and goings on.
An all around lovely place to vacation, or for a mass gathering such as a wedding. Would definitely return.
