Great for what we needed. yummy too
Great for what we were looking for! Couple owns it, they make yummy jams and host weddings and events in beautiful outdoor spaces. The RV lot was about a 5-min walk to the tent campground where there were toilets and sinks, and area for the goats and chickens!
The property is beautiful with lots of vistas from the upper camping area. Barbara was great in communicating and responding to our emails and questions. Would recommend staying in the above campground (no hookups) as the lower lot with hookups is more like a parking lot than campground and doesn’t have the views…but you can walk to the upper area. They are doing a lot of work on the property so I am sure it will continue to develop into a prime location.
A beautiful location
We had a nice stay at Hartley Organic Farm. It is located in a nice central spot in Paso Robles. Barbara informed us of various things to do in the area which was helpful. They have a beautiful walk path that is lined with trees. They also do weddings there so the grounds were very well maintained and clean. The camping area has 30amp hook ups which was a nice added bonus. A side note: The “campground” is really just a parking lot. The sites were pretty spacious though. Overall it was a good stay. The one con is that cell service was very weak to almost non existent ( Verizon) and there is no wifi available.
Hostess with the mostess!
We loved our stay at Hartley Farms. Barbara and her husband were amazing hosts. We chose the breakfast basket and it did not disappoint. The scones were delicious toped with her homemade jam and the eggs were so fresh! We enjoyed a jam tasting and loved picking up a few souvenirs in the gift shop. We enjoyed walking around the property. Barbara and Dan have done an amazing job creating such a tranquil place. They were both incredible hosts. They shared information on wineries to check out and delicious food to try. We met their sweet dog named Janet who was an absolute LOVE. Do not hesitate, book now!! We will DEFINITELY be back again soon!
Beautiful property, felt safe and secure. Cute small corral to see goats and chickens. I’d skip the eggs just because you have to coordinate with the owner and everyone’s on different schedules. But I would definitely stay here again if I was in need and in the area!
Rv camping at hartley farms
Our host, Barbara was welcoming and friendly when we arrived. The RV spaces are along the perimeter of their events parking area with 30amp service and water for each site. Easy parking for our Ford Ranger and 16’ camper, but fifth wheel trailers fit easily too. We were in site #5 and my LevelMatePRO only read 1/2” off level port side of the camper. We did a jam tasting and also ordered eggs from their chickens. Barbara’s jams taste amazing. Her scones were warm, flaky and delicious. Barbara also had recommendations and tasting discount cards for several wineries in area surrounding Hartley Farms. The property has tent sites on a hill with great views as well as B&B lodging. There is a 1 mile trail that meanders around the property that ends by the jam tasting room and beautifully designed and landscaped event area including a terraced amphitheater used for weddings and movie nights. We look forward to returning for special events like movie nights or dinners.
Absolutely wonderful spot! A tiny bit of road traffic nearby but nothing compared to other places we have stayed! Their venue oasis you can stroll through is unbelievable! The mile walk around the property is wonderful and you can add and little more if you head north to the dry river bed! Bought eggs and jam and they were great! Peach and Jalapeño jam is delicious! We will be back!!
Rural country setting calming
Great stay. Beautiful country setting with views of surrounding farms and hills. Lovely trail to stretch your legs and walk the perimeter of the property. Barbara met us on arrival. We had the parking area to ourselves so a peaceful night. Introduced ourselves to the chickens and goats. Husband enjoyed nice visit with Barbara’s husband. Recommend and will come again.
