The campground connects to a hiking trail that takes you to a 2-acre landscaped garden, or to our friendly goats & chickens. You are a short drive to local wineries, or downtown nightlife. No power, or showers here, but the outhouse is one of those fancy solar powered deals with running water and a flushing toilet. Add some farm fresh eggs from our chickens, or a jar of our organic jam, and cook up your breakfast, or head in to town for a fresh baked cinnamon roll. This campground was designed just for tents and small vehicles (under 15' long). There is no power at this campground. If you have a motor home or trailer, check out our other listing with water/power hookups!
We have 5 camp spots available (1 available on Hipcamp). This means you might be sharing the two bathrooms with up to 8 random strangers. If this is not for you, please do not book our campground. You also have the option to book out the other spots if you want to be alone. The bathrooms are cleaned & sanitized after each group has checked out.

Places to see near Hartley Farms Organic Orchard
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
It was peaceful and beautiful and pretty quiet, with thr exception of a few cars in the distance.
The view of the stars at night was extraordinary and we loved laying on fake grass to watch them.
The place was easy to find, and not too far out of thr way from the activities we had planned.
I felt the description of the camp was pretty spot on, with the exception of the amount of bugs and how direct the sun is. One morning it was rather scorching by 9 and our tent was full of pincher bugs, but those things happen when you camp!!
The only bummer thing was that we had to pack out our trash (which I didn't read in the info beforehand), but all trash cans were full when we got there. It was a yucky mess to try and deal with on our way out.
The bathrooms are fully flushing toilets, the same as in a 5th wheel trailer. They got a bit stunky
I would for sure stay at this place again and would 100% recommend to someone looking for a safe place to camp in Paso!
Cute farm stay near paso robles
Such a cute spot right out of Paso Robles—though it doesn't feel like you're close to anything other than ranches and farms. The group of campsites are all clustered together (so you may have some neighbors close by) with picnic tables, water, and very clean bathrooms in the area. Each site has a little patch of astroturf, which was nice for hanging out and cooking on.
My only advice: keep your food in your car. There were lots of earwigs that got into a jar or two we left out (learn from our mistakes! :P)
We only stayed for one night but would definitely come back!
Beautiful place. The campground is uphill, nice view, very well equipped with tables, chairs, water. Not too much privacy as the sites are pretty small but nicely set. Great toilets, very clean, very well maintained. Barbara is very responsive and very regardful to make your stay the best.
Will definitely go back!
Hartley Farms was one of our favorite Hipcamp experiences to date and we will definitely be back.
This location is a perfect balance between comforts and the camping experience. Having a flushing outhouse, prepared tent pads, and running water at the sites made for comfortable experience. Then the star that could be seen at night... Amazing! I highly recommend this location for anyone that is looking for a great camping or cabin experience near Paso Robles.
Totally worth it
Hartley Farms was an amazing place to stay. They had excellent customer service, beautiful grounds, and the friendliest of people. I can't wait to stay there again. It was a little windy out at the campsite, but we rented the fire pit and it is definitely a must, if you stay out there.
Great eggs, lots to see, awesome!
This place was soooo good. The hosts were incredibly friendly. Showed us all around the grounds, our kids loved feeding the goats and the chickens and finding a freshly laid egg! Also, buy the eggs, they taste incredible! The site has a nice patch of turf, and the bathrooms were absolutely spotless. Highly recommend.
