Our campground overlooks a beautiful valley and the Berriessa Ridge Mountains..  There are camping decks as well as cushy camping spots directly on the ground for those who want to "ground."  The campground has stunning views towards the east—mountains with a sweeping valley view in the foreground from pretty much every camping spot.  Outrageously great sunrises and sunsets, as well as moonrises!  Great place to watch meteor showers!!

The outdoor community kitchen and fire ring is available for use, complete with refrigeration, triple sink with running water and plenty of dishes to use.  Outdoor shower with hot water and great pressure, as well as an outdoor claw-foot bath tub in the woods, clean well water with NO CHEMICALS ADDED!  Lovely if you are used to city water with chlorine.

Community Farmhouse has access from 8am to 9pm for wifi, showers and bath, reading library, and just hanging out by the fireplace or swamp cooler.  Generally there are guests and volunteers year-round, which makes for interesting visits since these folks come from all over the US and abroad.

This is a working permaculture farm and you will encounter chickens, beautiful gardens, and interesting projects in progress, including several sculpted earthen structures and a small pallet house made from award-winning design plans, and coated with gorgeous earthen plaster over cob.  Looks like a large gingerbread house!

Lake County is one of Northern California's untapped playgrounds! Chuck full of wildlife, you will see deer families, wild turkeys, quail, hawks, birds of all sorts, even sometimes big cats, coyote and fox!

My nephew and I had such a great time camping on Brenda's property. It has the feel of group camping with just enough privacy for it not to feel intrusive. My nephew and I hadn't camped together in about four years, so it was a real treat for both of us. Margie, Brenda, and the loving dog Buddy were wonderful hosts.

Peaceful retreat, in the middle of nowhere. The valley in front of us, birds singing, and the sun. A dream.

Plus Brenda (and Buddy!, her lovely dog) was very kind and helpful with us. We bought plenty of organic veggies, bread and eggs from the farm.

I highly recommend this "low-key" place.

I had a lovely stay at Brenda's farm.
I stayed only for one night and was the only person camping. I camped under the big tree and watched the amazing sunset and stars. Brenda's dog kept me company the whole night :-).
I came back home with lots of fruits and vegetables.

I absolutely loved my stay at Golden Rocks Permaculture Farm. Although the camping sites were much closer in proximity than I'd expected, we were the only ones there so we had privacy :). The stars and scenery were beautiful. The host was very nice and accommodating and gave us directions to a gorgeous waterfall spot. We also fell in love with the host's dog, Buddy. He slept next to us all night and protected us.

My friend and I went to get away from town for a little bit and had a truly lovely time. Our campsite was 1 among 6 on a hillside overlooking the valley. Only 3 other groups were there that weekend, giving us plenty of space to move around. The site was great with a fully stocked outdoor kitchen and a outhouse near the campsites. It was a hot weekend but our site had a tree overshadowing a section so we could get away from the heat. Brenda was so nice and accommodating. She was kind enough to point us in the direction of some swimming holes nearby to cool down in. Easily the best part was the night sky. Between the new Moon and there being very little light pollution I saw more stars than I’ve ever seen in my life. We could see the Milky Way both nights. On our way out we swing by panda shop and purchase some lovely goods such as tea and tinctures. Truly a great trip. Thanks Brenda!

Really enjoyed our time under the stars on Brenda’s farm/ranch. Directions in were super easy, as was parking. The sites sit on a medium-sized hill but wooden platforms allow for easy tent pitching. Was great to get a local’s recommendations for hiking, swimming, and great places to kayak and paddle board (we have inflatables so we were primarily looking for good places to launch). Lots to do in the area—from wine tasting and bird watching to Clear Lake water sports and hiking. Also, nice to have an outdoor kitchen and shower readily available after a long day out in the Lake County area!

We had a wonderful time. The outdoor kitchen was a unique and nice touch. As well as the onsite fresh eggs and produced you can buy. Brenda and Shane were wonderful hosts and the other guests were chill, friendly, and respectful.

Brenda's place was lovely and her partner, Shane was really great. He was very helpful and kind. The place was well stocked with cooking supplies and it was a cosy place. Having the chickens running around and the sweet dog was so fun.

This was a good camping spot for a 2-day biking trip in Lake County. It was a bit of a surprise to find that part of the road leading to the property was unpaved and had some potholes not great for a regular bmw convertible but all in all it was a good place, with nice people, and a beautiful view.

Breakfast with a view.
