Glamping at Red Rooster Lodge
Beware of bait and switch, backyard
Booked RV camper but I arrived to it being occupied. The host offered a small room in a backyard and it wasn’t even ready. I saw stained mattress and dirty red cabin. The sink was broken too. The backyard looked in shambles. There were trash piled high on the parked truck and ground. When I arrived, the lady blamed her brother for not telling her the RV I book was taken, but her brother’s the one I was in contact with. He could have told me it was taken numerous of times but didn’t. This was my first camping trip after divorce and I even communicated to the host that I was nervous about it And wanted to make sure everything is ready. He could have told me when I booked it, after, or even before I started driving hours to get to this site! We arrived with a certain expectation and it was such a let down. My boys were not happy and said, this is the worst camp site ever (if you can call it a camp site, it is a backyard really) the lady host said that someone was living in it for awhile…. If you read previous reviews, you’d see they did this bait and switch to another person. Only they were tricked into thinking it was an “upgrade.” I left and I had to make last minute arrangement for another camp site so late into the afternoon… I was depending on the RV range to cook that night too. So disappointed. So angry that this host would take advantage of ppl who would have no where to go and had to take what they can get, not what they have booked. Beware of this Bait and Switch,

Weeklong trip to Yosemite
Just finished up a weeklong stay here. I cannot say enough good things about the place. It is conveniently located to the park (a bit of a drive, but everything is out here). Adam and his crew are wonderful hosts, even providing fresh towels midweek through our stay (we weren’t even expecting towels!). The camper is clean and spacious. And the 3 dogs on the property greeted us each morning for their obligatory rub downs. I highly recommend Red Rooster Lodge. You won’t be disappointed.

Great place
The Red Rooster Lodge was a great place to stay. It was ~35mins from the Big Oak Flat entrance, and a total of 90mins from Yosemite Valley. We had booked the RV to stay at, but adam upgraded us to a room, which was clean and comfortable. We didn’t get to eat here but the food being cooked looked delicious. There was a super friendly lab that greeted us everyday, which was a nice touch. We will be back!

Comfortable for a great price
This was such a nice place to stay while visiting Yosemite! Reasonable price, 22 miles from Yosemite entrance, and very comfortable. Adam was accommodating and friendly. As a young woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe staying here by myself. I will definitely stay here the next time I come through Yosemite!
