We loved the quiet lake life for a couple days! Way more private than big bear. The house had everything we needed, and kids loved the sleeping loft. Location was perfect, easily walkable to lake. We fell in love with the community trail off Edison....wow such amazing views!
The cabin was well equipped and comfortable for 2 people or a family with kids. Everything worked perfectly from streaming tv to a wonderful shower and a clean and working kitchen. The roof window in the bedroom allows you to see the stars while lying on the bed which was very cool but also wakes you up at sunrise which is nice if you are planning on having an early rise. I loved my stay and plan on coming back,
Cozy cabin, perfect distance to walk to the lake with fishing poles. Son loved the loft bedroom and we enjoyed the quiet and fresh air. The few locals we met were very friendly and warm. Easy drive to Big Bear for other activities. Owner was super responsive to question we had during our stay.
Cozy and quiet lake getaway
The cabin was cozy, clean, and exactly what we wanted for a simple getaway with our 12-year-old twin boys. They absolutely loved the attic bedroom. The place is stocked with dishes and cookware, as well as a small selection of DVDs. It's also just a short walk to the lake and the little shops in town. Way less crowded than Arrowhead and Big Bear, this made for a fantastic family retreat. I recommend making your way up Green Valley Lake Rd. to the 2N13 road (an easy hike or accessible via 4WD vehicle) to the Green Valley Overlook.
[The only downside we experienced was the resident across the street who got on our case for wearing face masks during the covid pandemic. His place was adorned with a Trump flag. He said the town had no mask mandate and we'd scare the neighbors if we wore them, though all of the other townsfolk were also wearing masks. Not the cabin owner's fault, but worth noting if you're trying to avoid any insipid political conversations.]
