The host, Shannon, is quick to respond, delightful to work with, and very very kind. I had some challenges while staying, and she offered, and helped in big ways.
Except for one night, we had the camp to ourselves (me and two dogs). I felt safe and secure behind the gate. I felt my trailer would be safe all day, all by itself. while we explored the area.
Location is off Hwy 299, just a few miles west of willow creek. Fishing, hiking, and stunning scenery. Mountains, redwoods and Douglas firs. It’s beautiful, even in the rain. The little creek that runs along one side of the meadow was full and bubbling while we were there. I found access to try fishing.
The property was once a lumber mill and a quarry. It all got washed away in a flood in mid 20th century. There’s a very short, quite steep well graveled drive down to the meadow. Shannon has a portapot station for guests. Although next to highway, road noise was minimal.
I was very happy there, stayed 10 nights, and will return.

I needed a reset, and this was the perfect place. Right off the road in some beautiful country. The area was spotless, with plenty of room and many good sites to set up a tent. In a little valley, with the sound of the creek and mist rising off the hillside, I found myself just sitting there enjoying the view. I could almost feel the stress of city life melting away.

Shannon was great, super-responsive and made sure I knew where to go and how to get in the gate. My plans were a little fluid, and Shannon was very accommodating and was very nice about... well... everything. :)

I miss the mountains, and this place was a great way to reconnect. I will be back. Highly recommended.

The countryside in November, for context.A clean and level spot. The hillside in November. The road just outside the entrance.

Thank you for letting us camp on your property. It was very peaceful and serene to have the space all to ourselves. The table & chairs , water jug with soap and port o potty where a nice touch and all we needed to enjoy our stay amongst such beautiful trees near the creek.
