The 13’ Stout Bell tent is sitting on a hillside under an oak tree.  Our Bell tent has 2 sturdy cots with a wool and cotton bed roll for peaceful sleeping.  Please BRING your own bedding, sleeping bag or blankets and a pillow for yourselves.  Inside you will find cozy sitting cushions, layers of carpets, a wood burning stove which is perfect for the kettle.  The Bell tent has plenty of head room to stand and move around in.  There is a 2 burner gas grill along with a charcoal bbq and ice chest.   There is a well lit bathroom with hot shower and flushable toilet 100 yards away.

Our 12 acre land is located on Hwy 41, a 10 minute drive to the coast, 20 minutes from both San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles where you will find shopping, fine restaurants and plenty of local wineries in the area.  We have a moderate climb hiking trail down the road, Cerro Alto, that offers beautiful views of our coastline.

Simply sit back and watch the the wild turkeys and deer roaming freely on our land.  Or, head out to taste some of San Luis Obispo County award winning wines.

No wood fires are allowed at this time. We have provided our guests propane fire pits at each site. You’ll need to bring your own 20 lb propane tanks if you would like to enjoy the propane fire pit.

Please practice "leave no trace “pack in /pack out”,  We have a garbage can at the washroom for you to throw all your trash.  Thanks!   BYO drinking water.

Super cute yurt, comfier cots than you might imagine with plenty of padding, sweet little stove/bbq, propane fire pit, hiking trails, and a real bathroom. We got there late and only stayed one night. I wish we’d been able to fully explore the land and hang out at the site. We’ll definitely be back.

One tip: bring very, very dry kindling for the stove in the yurt. Using paper starter made it very smoky in there and I don’t recommend.

This was a great little retreat!

Rustic little deck high in an oak grove. Loved the fire pit and the tent space. Enjoyed the quiet and private feel, and had some great stargazing. Thank you!

Heads up: The driveway up to the tent was fairly steep, and our camper van had a little trouble on the climb. My bad as we didn’t think to ask beforehand what the parking would be. Just wanted to share if helpful!

it was great in every way! Dana and the space were amazing, just make sure to mind the temperature before you go. It gets hot during summer. but it was close to all the wineries, some amazing beaches and the grounds were perfect for glam camping :)

This spot is the perfect for couples! my husband and I spent my birthday/our wedding anniversary here for one night. It’s very private and the host was easy to get ahold of and quick to respond. The bathroom is legit and I love that they already had a lot of camping supplies. We had all of our own camping gadgets already packed and didn’t have use much of our own stuff. The tent also holds a lot of heat so you don’t have to worry about being cold. The hill up to the tent is pretty steep so if you don’t have a 4WD be careful. Will definitely come back again!

Our stay at the Safari Tent was wonderful. There's a lot of shade cover so it didn't get too hot. We were out exploring all day so not sure how it would be if we stayed all day. But the morning and evening hours were perfect. We didn't cook but it seemed like there was all the basics. (Including a cooler, a propane cook top and propane grill!) There was a toilet and shower a short walk down the hill, both very clean. The site had a propane firepit. We didn't use it but it was nice that it was there.
The property was super quiet and peaceful.
I truly enjoyed the much needed R and R.

This was a great way to try out tent living. The tent really protects you from wind and moisture but you still feel like you’re sleeping outdoors. I loved the propane fire pit. No smoke in your eyes and easy to shut down at night. We didn’t use the small stove in the tent as it was nice out but I would have liked to! The cots were much comfier than sleeping on the ground. I really liked the privacy of this place. We were excited to be surrounded by the birds, turkeys, sheep & ... we heard a donkey (didn’t see it though). Great place!

Excellent location if you want to go between SLO, Atascadero, Morro Bay, Paso Robles, etc...Has everything you need and feels remote even though you're only right off the main road. Good communication/directions from host- would recommend if you want the camping experience without lugging all of your camping gear.

The safari tent was super cute! The cots inside were quite comfortable, and the surrounding deck and sitting areas were sweet and perfect for chilling with morning coffee. We didn't use the cooking equipment as our friends were at the tiny house and we spent most of the time there. The bathroom facilities were really nice and seemed brand new. Overall Frog Hollow is a great spot to get a bit of nature not far from wineries and the beach, and any other amenities you may need.
