Three Rivers is a small welcoming gateway town to the southern entrance to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks. Our hillside property is located just 2 miles from the parks entrance. Our driveway spills directly onto Sierra Drive - the main road leading through town and into the parks - so we are very easy to find! We have 2 campsites on our private property. For now, we are only booking one site at a time - the Corral campsite. So other than us, your hosts who live on site, you will have the place to yourselves! We have created a safe, comfortable, private and quiet camping experience in a rustic natural setting. The Corral campsite includes the exclusive use of a wide 2-person hammock, a large propane BBQ (propane provided) also with a side burner for regular cooking, BBQ cooking utensils, an extra large picnic table with a shade structure built over it, a cold water hose fed spigot with a deep bucket to wash dishes, 1 covered garbage can, and 1 covered recycling can. Even when there is a fire ban in effect, you CAN use our provided BBQ year round. This campsite is for 4 people of any age, race or persuasion. You can add 2 more campers for $15/each per night. If you are a family/group that is larger than 6 people, message us your group number and we can discuss options. We do have a second campsite that we closed at the start of COVID, so campers wouldn't have to share the bathroom or shower with strangers. At some point, without notice, we may open it up again... Because we "meet and greet" to show you around and how things work, we ask for you send us a ballpark ETA when you plan to arrive - on the day - so we can arrange to be there and available to show you around. Check-in is any time after 2pm - which is a long time to be stuck at home waiting, if you don't know a camper isn't planning on coming until later in the evening.✌ If somehow our dogs haven't heard you drive up and announced your arrival with their barking, please come up and knock on our front door. We are waiting to welcome you! Our driveway has a sharp, steep turn while climbing our hillside property. This short driveway stops us from hosting RV'S or pulled trailers. If you manage the steep hairpin driveway turn, there is no place to turn around once up. Campervans are fine! Rooftop tents work too. Children are welcome. Our place is very rustic, on a hillside, and off of a main road, so we are by no means "child proof"! But we are child friendly! Especially at night, you can hear the sounds of the river flowing across the street below.  Unfortunately, we don't have river access. There are some great places to swim a few minutes drive down the street. Our past Hipcampers have posted pictures of our favorite place - Slick Rock. (There is a $5 daily parking fee at Slick Rock, but your National parks ticket works too, saving you the fee!) We do have an outdoor cold water shower for you to cool off at the camp...and it has a great view! My wife Elizabeth and I bought our home in 2015 after falling in love with our hillside log cabin and its fantastic mountain views. Our dog Ruby was rescued shortly afterward and our dog Chance is a more recent rescue. They chase the deer off of our property; and if they smell a bear, they will go out and tree it! Bears run away if confronted, or up a tree. If you're lucky, you may spot one! They are generally very timid animals and will run away FIRST if confronted. We have birdbaths to attract wild drinkers and bathers; so there are many winged friends living on and around our place, especially quail. We currently have 2 quail families; each living on opposite ends of our property. You may also spot raven, hawks, hummingbirds, bluebirds, woodpeckers; or hear our resident owl in the early morning hours. In addition to deer, you may see wild turkeys, fox, bobcats, coyotes and bear; mostly crossing an animal highway along our upper property line - above the campsites. We are animal friendly and don't charge extra for you to bring your dog(s) to camp. Please LET US KNOW YOU ARE BRINGING DOG(S), when you request to book. Our dog Ruby, is a Black Mouth Cur, and our dog Chance is a Husky Doberman mix. Both are good with other dogs large and small. They look forward to meeting you and yours! Although we welcome dogs, the park only allows them into the park BUT NOT ON ANY TRAILS!?! Only the national forests allow dogs on trails, not national parks. We can be available to dog sit your dog(s) while you explore in the park for a fee. Please contact us ahead of time, if possible, so we can arrange to be available to dog sit on your chosen day(s). Feel free to reach out, if you have any questions. We are happy to answer them!

where do i when start?! the only thing better than the site was our host, bruce. we were delayed in travel due to a blown transmission in our campervan- knowing we were now short on supplies, he met us upon our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed and more. 10/10 stand-up human being. the site itself was a dream- running water, shelter, a grill, outhouse (with flush toilet), outdoor shower, hammock, total privacy and a stellar view. easy to find and short distance from our destination at sequoia national park. would absolutely stay again!

Brewster is an incredible host and the campsite is absolutely amazing. This is well worth a stay and just a stone's throw away from the national park and the great amenities of Three Rivers.

We loved staying at Brewster’s camp! There were great views of the mountains and we had such a pleasant experience camping there. Brewster, his wife, and three dogs were the best hosts! The outdoor shower had an awesome view and was pretty cold but all part of the experience. He even pointed out a bear his dogs scared up a tree which was a highlight of our trip! Very close to the entrance to sequoia national park so definitely worth staying at his land if you’re planning a trip!

Brewster and Elizabeth were excellent hosts. They were very attentive and explained everything very thoroughly. Their space was beautiful and perfect for my truck with a RTT. Everything was extremely clean and well-thought out. I would highly recommend staying here! It’s very close to Sequoia NP as well and made for the perfect base camp. Thank you again!

We loved camping at Brewster’s! He, his wife, and his pups were very hospitable. The space was great (and nice and flat for our tent), the grills were easy to use (we didn’t even bother with our camp stove) and the location was perfect for getting into Sequoia National Park. Also, the flushing toilet was a solid bonus!

Wow what a remarkable host, so kind and attentive. Location was better than expected with lots of gear on site and remarkable views of mountains not to mention 2 miles from park. Definitely want to come back in the fall!!

Brewster was a great host and his campsites are awesome! He greeted us after we set up camp and checked in each evening when we returned from exploring Sequoia to see if we needed anything. We had our cat with us, and he was super accommodating to make sure she was comfortable whenever he had to let his dogs out (who are also friendly, by the way!) The bathroom and shower were very nice, and the campsites provide a shaded picnic table, hammock, and some grills. I would definitely stay again!
