The night skies above Finnon Lake will reveal stars unseen in most parts of California. Enjoy searching for bullfrogs, and watch the flock of Canadian Geese fly in right at sunset as the horizon blends into the watercolor sky. This private lake supports the fire protection efforts of the Mosquito Fire Protection District and the firefighters of this community. The lake is managed by volunteers of the community for the benefit of the residents The primary funding source for the Finnon Lake Restoration is the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, which was signed into law in 2004 with a mission to support “efforts that improve the environmental, economic and social well-being of the Sierra Nevada Region, its communities and the residents of California,” according to its Website. Disc Golf Paradise
Great site by a beautiful lake and an amazing but very advanced disc golf course. Clean bathrooms, firewood available on site.

Nice little spot!
The campsites are on a small peninsula that extends just a bit into the lake. Great view, nice Fall colors in the trees. A11 (and neighboring sites) are just a dozen yards or so from the water, very short portage for kayaks, etc. Restroom facilities are very nice, which is a plus. Bike/hike path circles the lake. Great spot.

The camp was great. The drive was not good for our large truck.

Great Camping Site
Very well managed site. The bathrooms were some of the best I’ve ever seen in a camping site. The large trash bins were super helpful. Lake is nice with rambunctious ducks and geese. Nearby Bridge replacement under construction which makes approach interesting on an 8 Ft wide vintage bridge. Fatter rigs need to come in from other direction. Check it out before coming out if you have a wide rig.

Seems like a hidden gem!
Had a great stay with my 5yr old son. Didn't have crazy number of sites which was nice. Wasn't too loud, was definitely able to relax, had a nice little lake with sites on the water which I would've reserved... Lots of other kiddos so my son made some new friends, everyone is very friendly! Disc golf course on site was a plus. Was able to do some fishing and next time I'm bringing my kayaks which most beach sites have areas where you can drop them in! Not the easiest to get to which is nice to keep this a hidden gem, but worth it if you love driving curvy roads like I do!!! Would def recommend to good friends and family, but sorry, I'm not blabbing it to just anyone, let's keep this one a secret... Shhhh! Oh and the bathrooms were cleaner than my house so... Some people wanna know that kind of stuff.

A3 - Lakefront
My son and I absolutely loved this site. It was clean, quite, and a nice location right on the lake. The bathrooms were actually really good too, which is always a good thing. We also had a nice surprise of having a swing on our campsite just for us to enjoy. The only complaint I could come up with is that the ducks wake up too early and don't want anyone else to sleep in either. We'll definitely be back here again.
