Field of Dreams

We are limiting reservations for a while because we found out that while we have liability insurance for Hipcamp we need to change carriers. This is a set back for us just when we’re getting started, but it’s the Field of Dreams after all and we’ll carry on. We are continuing to honor already made reservations and requesting signed liability waivers from those guests for now. Sorry for any inconvenience. Welcome to the Field of Dreams - a very private, but open meadow in a beautiful setting with views all around. We can only accept self-contained camper vans. ————————————— - We travel in our camper van too, so we know that a private spot to camp, while desirable can be hard to find. We offer you that experience here. Only one reservation at a time is accepted for the entire property, so the Field of Dreams will be yours alone to enjoy. A private gated entrance provides easy in and out, but the camping area is not in sight of the road. Our meadow offers a choice of easily accessible and level parking spots and after you are settled in we think you’ll find this is a good place to relax and hang out. ——————————————— But of course, there is a lot to do in the area: We are 5 minutes from the picturesque town of Tomales on Hwy. 1 with the bakery, bar, deli and old-time general store. We are also close to wide, sandy Dillon Beach, as well as Tomales Bay with Hog Island Oysters, Tony’s Seafood and Nick’s cove. Nearby to the south is Point Reyes Station a lively small town adjacent to Point Reyes National Seashore (miles and miles of hiking there), and to the north is Bodega Bay where you will find close-up views of crashing waves from numerous over looks, walkable beaches, restaurants, and more opportunities for coastal hiking. —————————— Biking! 🚴‍♂️ Bicyclists come to this area from all over to ride these local roads. You can pedal from your campsite to Dillon Beach and Valley Ford or beyond over lightly travelled backroads. Bring your bikes! ————————— Sorry, no trailers or tents. Only self contained vans will be accepted and no campers longer than 24’. The unpaved drive in is steep with a curve. The loose gravel has good traction for camper vans, but NOT for trailers.
