This site is affectionately called "Chandler", named after the variety of walnuts that we grow. Back your self-contained RV, Conversion Van, or Trailer into a secluded site in our 20 acre walnut grove. We are nestled in the village of Ballard and in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. Walking distance to two Tasting Rooms, a Bakery, and a Fine-Dining Restaurant! The site includes a bistro table, wooden picnic table, fire pit with 3-4 pieces of seasoned firewood (add-on additional bundles available for $10), and bench-swing, all surrounded by lovely lighting (we will also throw in a treat for both our guests and their doggies) . This is for self-contained units that will back-in, as there is not room to turn around. * Note that the trees lose their leaves in the winter and will leaf-out in late May. This may affect sound barrier and privacy a bit. We also offer a second site in the Grove, which accommodates larger RV's with up to 6 people (called "Lovely Walnut Grove for RV Camper" - which has a larger area, picnic table, fire pit, corn hole, complimentary candied walnuts). The two sites are 200 yards apart (that's two football fields) assuring your privacy.  Please note in your request what you will be traveling in (RV, Trailer, Sprinter, etc). (** Please note that because we are a food-producing farm, we are only allowed to accept fully self-contained units (with built-in water and waste water tanks - sorry, no portable toilets ). No tents unless they are accompanying a self contained RV).

Mike and Anne's walnut grove was amazing. It was our first camper van experience and it was truly spectacular. The location of site 2 was far enough from the roads to feel extra secluded and the walnut trees were a beautiful scenary to wake up to.

We made use of the firewood and firepit, as well as the bench swing and picnic table. Everything was clean and ready for us the moment we arrived.

Definitely will be visiting again. Make sure you get the walnut chocolate chip cookies. Amazing.

Very bucolic, quiet and secluded. Nice touches at campsite such as fire pit, chairs and a bbq. So close to Solvang and Los Olivos as well. Very nice hosts as well

Mike and Anne have set up some sweet camping spots with a swing chair, bistro table, picnic table, fire pit and a shady umbrella. We loved having the fire at night. The walnut trees were full of fruit and we were very private. Super nice folks and the best part was the fresh hot sourdough bread from Anne. Also, we were given as a gift some yummy walnuts and a goody bag for our pup, plus the full page of ideas of things to do and places to go was super helpful. We took a lot of advice from their suggestions.

We loved our two night stay in the walnuts grove! Our three daughters enjoyed the bench swing and playing hide and seek in the orchard. The proximity to a fun playground, bakery, lavender farm, Los Olivos and delicious wineries made our stay so fun. Mike was such a kind host and helped us fill our tank when we arrived. We look forward to returning in the future! A+++

Mike and Anne have created a great spot here! They came and greeted us upon arrival and were available as needed our entire stay. So peaceful and secluded in the walnut grove, with Adirondack chairs, a covered swing and picnic table with umbrella plus a fire pit. The perfect place to camp and relax, and a short bike ride to either Los Olivos (hello wine tasting!) or Solvang. Can’t wait to come again.

This is a terrific alternative to noisy campgrounds. Beautiful, peaceful setting. Right after our arrival Anne brought over a fresh loaf of sourdough that we had ordered with our booking - so good! We were just passing through on this trip but would absolutely book it again to spend a couple days visiting wineries in the area.

So I want to lie and tell you this place was horrible. Cuz I want it all to myself!!!! Ha!

We stayed in site #2. It’s a long back in threw the walnut trees. Seriously charming and beautifully kept. There is a picnic table, fire pit complete with cushioned Adirondack chairs and a small little two chair bistro set next to the Weber Charcoal grill. Bonus: a swinging porch style chair and twinkling light at night in the immediate trees.

We parked our camper in the nice, flat driveway and had a ton of room to spread out with mulch spread through the living area.

The host is SUCH a great guy. Helped me get my trailer straight. There a few more surprises that I don’t want to ruin.

We will definitely be back.
