Best stay I could’ve asked for. Sharon and her husband are some of the best Hip Camp hosts out there. 10/10 reccomend camping at her property. She was so gracious and accommodating and the property was beautiful with all of the greenery and horses. Will definitely be coming back. The park down the street was gorgeous with a little creek that was very peaceful.

Stayed a night here on our way to the coast. A beautiful grassy spot under some mature willow trees. There were beautiful horses around, some chickens.
We slept great, our hosts were very kind. Would recommend.
Lots of birds and horses, plenty of shade under the willow tree. A symphony of frogs in the evening
My husband, our daughter and I came up to the Grass Valley area for my birthday and to just get out of Reno. With no plan in mind, we ran across this very reasonably priced serene location off the beaten path / on 5 acres and thought how wonderful would it be to camp underneath and stars? To our delight it was the perfect little quaint place to pull our tiny trailer in. Our 7 year old had a wonderful time in the morning and her pajamas petting their horses and feeding them grass and apples! I think that was the highlight of her trip :-) Sharon and Tom have a wonderful place to stay; where you can listen to the frogs at night, and the distant rooster in the background in the a.m. you may even get to hear the fun sounds of a donkey; keep in mind you are in country living; where animals meet the sky's stars and a small stream meets the picnic bench 🏕️ The sounds were never overbearing and actually fun to listen to. We have made new friends and are excited to stop back by and say hi when we come through! Thank you guys for your hospitality (just had to thank you one more time Sharon) 🥰💜

Sharon and her husband are incredibly friendly and having them guide us in took a lot stress off of us. We felt very comfortable at their property, and loved listening to the birds and saying hi to their horse. Very quiet and peaceful at night. Nothing but crickets
Great family park that was nearby, we didn’t get to explore even half of it. Great towns nearby to check out too.
What a restful setting. The campsite included a picnic table and garbage can under a beautiful tree. Great communication with hosts. Loved my morning walk to meet the horses and geese.
Staying at Sharon’s was exactly what we needed- a home away from home for the night on an idyllic spot under a willow tree beside a creek. We were lulled to sleep by the sound of frogs.
In the morning we were greeted by cheerful birds chirping and the other happy farm sounds that I love to hear waking up on the farm.
Sharon’s horse gave me the perfect send off in the morning- quality time over the fence while I had my coffee. We were really happy to stay on Sharon’s land! Very sweet and kind people that you love to meet along your travels. Thank you!

Sharon was very responsive and hospitable! We had a nice, short stay here.
Such kind and thoughtful hosts. We just love staying here. My kids had so much fun running around the property, playing games, hunting for bugs and frogs, and feeding carrots and apples to Baby, the horse. I’m so glad we got another chance to stay here. Highly recommended if you like a serene country environment.
