A nice getaway! farm animals, too.
Jim and Dawn were really nice hosts and generous with sharing their property. It’s a work in progress but we had a nice tent site and it wasn’t too crowded. They were generous with their drinking water and offered us firewood each evening, even tho it was too warm to even need a fire. They have a nice little pool to cool down in and Jim kept it clean despite the occasional dust devils.
Jim and Dawn were so warm and welcoming and their land is incredible. A landfill-turned campground, with hiking trails, a pool, massage tent, hot shower, will maintained water and toilet sites. Lovingly primitive. Plenty of space for privacy. Jaw-dropping at how much work this took!
My partner and I had an amazing stay here at the Ecoshire! The land was beautiful and very well maintained, Jim the host was so welcoming and everything just made us feel right at home, can’t wait to visit again!
Camping with the kiddos
Excellent stay, last minute booking, exactly what we were looking for. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get away. They have chickens and goats that are friendly. Host are very accommodating. Looking forward to returning.
A special spot, created with love
What a special place! We were greeted by Jim with a warm welcome, and loved hearing the story of how the EcoShire came to be. What a labor of love to turn this land from landfill into what it is today-- the most special and beautiful camping spot that has been lovingly restored and nurtured. We loved our camping position at the top of the hill-- the views we could see from our van of sunset were an absolute dream, and we were so close to the most amazing hike that got us to an epic vista to look out over the valley. It was super fun to meet the resident goats and chickens, and to hang out in the funky, arty common areas. It was the most easy, relaxing visit and we will definitely return to the EcoShire.
Had a wonderful stay at the Eco Shire. Jim & Dawn were wonderful hosts. Very cool set up and the kids had a great time playing in the pool and feeding the goats. We enjoyed the shade of the big tree, and learning about their set up and plans for the future orchard. Quiet at night. Highly recommend!
I loved staying at EcoShire it was very spacious and Jim was awesome ! Helped us find a site that was suitable for us. There was outhouses and nice and peaceful atmosphere. Would recommend to stay here.
