Private 35 acre campground surrounded by rolling hills, mountain views and open sky. Secluded nooks for solo campers and large areas for up to 300 of your closest friends. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular year round.  Stars and open skies that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in southern California.  Just 15 minutes from Temecula wineries, 40 minutes from the alpine, artsy town of Idyllwild in the San Jacinto Mountains, and just 15 minutes from the 215 in Menifee toward Hemet.  Best camping from early autumn to lush springtime where we have great wildflower blooms.

Cooperative managers Jim and Dawn host campers who want to enjoy nature, participate in permaculture gardening all while off-setting their travel footprint. Fees are used to plant trees and enrich the land.  The property is a restorative ecovillage (turning severely damaged land into an oasis of hope) where we invite you to participate in creative local solutions to our larger global problems. * If your group is larger than six adults, pease visit our group listings page. If your group needs special privacy and sound requirements and you'd like to reserve the whole campground, you will need to contact us directly. * Sites are available on a first come, first serve basis. * Kids 12 & under are free when accompanied by an adult. Thanks!

It is a wonderful spacious area with gracious hosts and so many great places to contribute with nature or relax. I witnessed a beautiful wedding here and it was absolutely wonderful.

Jim and Dawn made this a very special experience for me and my 8-year-old daughter. We were only there for 24 hours, but the hospitality, the Captain Crunch french toast, the activities for children (fairy house building), the animals, the scenery, and the people we met made this a camping trip to remember.

The mission of this place and the impact they are making is inspiring and one I can support. One of my favorite camping experiences of all time!!!

This place was awesome! Last minute we had to change our camping spot and EcoShire saved the trip for our family. The space was big, our dog looooved to run around and my 2 year old son was entertained. There is running water, trash cans and toilets. It was a very good experience Jim and his family were all very welcoming and great hosts. We will definitely come back again!!

This is my second time at EcoShire. The first time was with my wife and we had a great time. I was there this time for solitude. I got a campsite that made me feel alone and peaceful like I wanted. When I did want to talk just before I left I had a very meaningful talk with Jim. He is a Sage. I will be back again, with my wife, or I may bring my church's men's group and have a blast, or I may come alone just to be quiet again. Either way, EcoShire can accommodate.

This was our first time actually camping out in the nature and we were so lucky we were able to do it here! Jim and Dawn (and many other friends including the woofs and meows) were so friendly and helpful, and the site was beautiful. Would definitely come back! Thank you :)

This is our second time here and it's the best camping experience by far. Jim & Dawn are hospitable host with a kind heart. If you want a place to be left alone or a place where you find sincere and humble people this is your spot. We are so greatful to have found this gem!

Very helpful and peaceful. Gave us firewood after it rained to help us get our fire going. They have bathrooms and a shower. Activities to do like axe throwing, archery, gun range (with a little dog that likes to chase bullets), Cornhole, hammocks to lay in, children's playground, and plenty of other things to do. They have a common area if you want to meet and greet or campsites gather away if you want to be alone totally. Very nice and helpful! Defininetly will be returning to stay again!
