Bill and Robert were great. Our van got stucked in the sand and they brought their tractor to flatten the road for us, we were able to enjoy their campsite. Very peaceful place, highly recommended.
I came in search of some rest and relaxation after some very busy work months and I sure found it. During my stay, I drove up Mountain Hwy 99 to see the Seven Teacups along the River Trail on the Kern River and didn’t expect it to be raining when I came back (since rain hadn’t been in the forecast). I naively left my rain fly partially open for air flow in the morning and asked Bill and Robin if they wouldn’t mind closing my rain fly. I returned in the middle of the rain storm to find some freshly cut flowers thoughtfully placed next to my tent that they had brought down from their garden. Also, Brian, their landscape designer has truly created an oasis in the desert. I felt so welcomed here. Thank you, Bill, Robin, and Brian!
Excellent place to camp in the Kern River valley! Had an outdoor shower and beautiful outhouse next to campsite along with shade provided by juniper tree for tent. Amazing fire grid to build a fire with chairs included. Bill met me upon arrival and was most welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this place
This is a wonderful property. We got a flat tire and got our truck stuck, and the hosts came to our rescue. They helped pull our vehicle to a flat spot, then brought some equipment to make our tire change far more simple. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness. The campsite itself is beautiful and well maintained. It has a restroom, fire pit, and shower/hose area that took care of all our needs. We loved the site’s proximity to Lake Isabella and hope to stay here again in the future!
