Great area. The juniper tree casts good shade. I had a good amount of shade during noon and it got better as the sun ventured west.
Thank you so much to hosts, Bill and Robin for a beautiful get-away weekend. We loved sleeping under the stars and the juniper tree. There was a small family of hummingbirds nested and fluttering around the tree. We enjoyed climbing the boulders and seeing the horses as well as being greeted by Belle the dog. Bathroom was clean and the firewood was ready upon our arrival. We didn't use the shower because, being it February, we just kept dirty in the cold. Location was easy to get to, even I'm my Honda Fit. Very close to hot springs. Ask around deets on that. Thx guys.

The campsite is well kept and clean! So much effort into keeping the area organized and beautiful. You can tell it’s all taken care of with love. The views are great and the nights with the stars overhead were worth the trip. So many animals that like to visit you and ask for pets!! The hosts Bill and Robyn were the some of the kindest people I have met and look forward to seeing them again! Would recommend 10/10!

Our stay was great! Nice and secluded with good space and good views. Close drive to the lake and surrounding cities. Would stay here again!
Bill and Robin are fantastic hosts. Very friendly and accommodating; let me play music a bit loud during the day and quietly at night. The location itself is very very beautiful... I would call it high desert peace. Great place to star gaze and explore the Kern river valley.

The campsite was great and the juniper is great shade in the latter part of the day! The site is just big enough for two tents and the fire pit was great for cooking! Also who can forget about belle the pup coming by each morning to say hi! The amenities (shower & toilet) were great! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The three of us had a great time at this quiet and perfectly-size campsite! The compostable toilet and sun shower were our favorite parts-- they were close to the campsite and easy to use! Also, not a far drive to the Kern River, which was a major plus for us! Would recommend bringing some kind of pop-up shade with stakes, as it is pretty sunny and can get breezy.
This hidden gem was the perfect spot for our family! We loved camping under the stars and the beautiful Juniper tree. The amenities (out-house, tiki shower, etc) were very helpful. We would definitely recommend this attention to detail and secluded campsite. Thank you Bill and Robin for your hospitality.
We had an amazing time here and were in great hands. While out on the trails a wind storm took our tent for a ride down the hill and they reduced it for us and set it back up! So amazing! We paid for the garden tour and were invited to harvest some to take home with us! We had everything we could ever need. The road to the site was well marked and maintained. The site itself is laid out in a thoughtful way. The cold showers that were definitely needed were a god send...the shower and toilet were very clean. The juniper tree was really cool and other than that tree it’s just open sky- which made for incredible stargazing. Bill and Robyn were so nice and I would definitely love to come back here to camp and share this place with someone special. This place is like a little oasis/slice of heaven.
