The vibe at Camp Dirt
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was a wonderful well-maintained campsite and David was great at communicating driving directions to get there. It was quiet and we had the best time camping. Wish we could have met you David, but really appreciate the privacy!! 100% would recommend this place to everyone. It is beautiful.
We had a great stay at Camp Dirt! The site was just perfect and the surroundings are beautiful. The site is perfect if you’re looking for a socially distant break from the world, but also close enough to explore the nearby towns if you choose to. David was extremely welcoming and a great host.
Camp dirt is so much more!,
Camp Dirt was awesome!! The large campsites are located on flat land between a hill and nearby vineyards. Plenty of shade trees and a nearby river to swim or cool your feet. Amenities included a large wash sink, fire pits, picnic tables, running non-potable water, and a large pile of split firewood for those campfires below a starry night.
Peaceful and secluded with nearby destinations such as Solvang, wineries, and the Firestone-Walker 805 Brewery & taproom. Can’t beat that!,
Wow, what an incredible place!
David is a great host! He came and checked on us and had great conversations. He made sure we were happy with our campsite.
Off-grid, which my boyfriend and I absolutely love! We are both hardworking people and going off-grid for few days is what we need to recharge.
Though the campsite is off-grid, Camp Dirt is few minutes away from the nearest City, Buellton where you can find grocery stores and other places like restaurants, etc that you might need.
Camp Dirt is adjacent to Lafond Vineyards owned by David. What an experience for us to camp next to a vineyard! We actually went to Lafond Tasting Room in Buellton (not very far from the campsite) and had a blast! We ended up buying 3 bottles (2 Pinot Noir and 1 Syrah) out of the 5 we tasted. Absolutely great wine especially the Syrah! Side note: I can’t wait to go back and taste more of the Lafond wines.
On the property, you will also find a big swim hole (river)! At night, you hear the frogs, owls, doves and in the morning, you are greeted with lively birds chirping! We were also allowed to walk around the vineyard which i thought was very nice perk while staying at Camp Dirt.
The campsite has 2 big picnic tables, a metal fire pit and lots and lots of firewood.
Our campsite was flat which really helped us with our setup. We have a jeep rubicon with a roof top tent.
If you are looking for a place that is off-grid but still close enough to a City, then this is the right campsite for you. The place is well-maintained and very clean.
During our stay at Camp Dirt, we visited nearby places/attractions such as: Solvang, Nojoqui Falls, Gaviota Hotsprings, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez and of course wine tasting at the Lafond Tasting Room in Buellton.
Look no more! Book this place and you will not regret!
Thank you so much David for sharing this wonderful campsite to campers like us. We loved it and we will he back again sometime soon!
Lovely and private spot tucked away in a little canyon next to their vineyard. The hosts were great with communication and left a complimentary free tasting card to use at their vineyard tasting room. Would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to go back!
