small group family camping trip
I already can't wait to go back! Loved everything about River Ranch. We had a family group of 5. Rachael was super helpful answering questions beforehand so we could pick a spot best for us. When we got there, Tom came to our site and welcomed us to shift over to a site that wasn't quite open yet for the year, that suited us much better. The property is gorgeous (very green in April) and our campsite was away enough to be completely private. Place has a great vibe. We'll be back!

Site 4 - Sawyer's Bar
Doing it Right
I visited for the first time in April for some Father/Son camping and it was fantastic. Everything was as advertised, if not better. I’ve been to several HipCamps and this rates quite high, in my opinion. I will be returning!
From the gorgeous surroundings to the pleasant and helpful ranch folks, my son and I had a great time that we will not forget. They really did it right in terms of how its set up and it’s perfect for getting out into nature without going too far (less than 3hrs from Oakland).

Site 7 - Rowan's Camp
Great place to relax and enjoy all the beauty nature has to offer, the pictures to site 7 do not justify it’s a perfect spot, not to far not to close. Tom and Rachael were very nice and great host. Definitely coming again!!

Site 3 - Sawyer's Bar
Solo Camper
Stayed at Sawyer’s Bay #3, the view is gorgeous as the campsite is right next to the flowing river with a tree that offers shade. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. Had the best sleep with the noises of the river. Very easy to navigate to the campsite with signs all around the ranch leading you to the right direction. Tom was very welcoming and helpful with information regarding the ranch/the environment. I will definitely come back again!

Site 14 - The Overlook
This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Was far beyond my expectation and will definitely be staying in the future.
