Wild Diamonds winery is just across the street but the tasting room and tours are by appointment only. 6 minute drive to Six Sigma Ranch and Winery (Great tasting room and ranch tours). 20 minute drive to Harbin Hot Springs. 9 miles from quaint Middletown. 11 miles to Clear Lake. 19 miles to Mt. St. Helena Trailhead. I am told by a camper that Highland Springs Recreation Area (28Mi / 40min) is a good swimming spot.

This place was great! Beautiful property with lots of privacy and space. Potable water spigot was good and composting toilet was very clean. The site was a bit dusty but didn't bother us. Pond is very low (we are in a drought after all) and covered with algae so no swimming there but again didn't bother us. Would definitely recommend 👍

Quiet, remote, clean, well-kept, dark enough for stargazing. Close to amenities and activities around Clear Lake. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is big with a lot of room to spread out. Plenty of flat areas to pitch tents or park your RV. Plenty of trees for shade and for hanging up hammocks. Fairly quiet at night. Very little bugs. Composting out house was very clean. Would love to come back in the spring when the pond has more water and everything is green and lush. We saw deer, hares, squirrels, and quite a few varieties of birds. Great communication from Christopher.

Will be back in the spring to see how everything looks when it is green and the pond is full.Lots of space for everyone to spread out.

We did not end of being able to go to Christopher's place because a relative had a medical emergency, but Christopher was great with communication and directions and super nice and responsive. Before we had to cut our trip short we went to Six Stigma Winery which was awesome. If you really want to get away, this area north of wine country is the place to go.

It is beautiful and isolated. Chris was very flexible and helpful, just communicative enough to get our questions answered and otherwise left us alone to enjoy our space. We were able to have my birthday party here and not feel bad about making noise the way we would have at a cramped public campsite. The ponds were the only disappointment as they were bright green with algae and not very enjoyable to sit by, but we were here mid summer so maybe that was why.

Wow! This is a gem of a property! It has everything I ever wanted in a hipcamp: quiet, secluded, and gorgeous. The land has the feel of a landowner who is going above and beyond in care-taking the ecosystem. And it shows in the abundance of wildlife. I saw deer, jackrabbits, hummingbirds, lizards, to name a few. I only spend one night here, but even in that short time it was so relaxing and rejuvenating just to be able to sit and listen to the silence. There was even a composting toilet and a picnic table. And I was able to fill up on well water. I couldn't ask for anything more!
