They were unprepared for the rain; bed got wet from ground up, smelled moldy inside ten due to wet rugs and towels on the ground, linens did not seem “glam” ; no different from camping but a beautiful site and nice hosts.

I feel like I’m the only one that didn’t know about the magic that is Anderson Valley. Andy’s place is right in the heart of beautiful and delicious wineries (not to mention their own). The stay at the glampire is beautiful. We slept so so well, the tents are huge and very comfortable. Everyone at the glampire is a gem. A great find in a great part of town.

We unfortunately did not have a good experience and for the price I was expecting MUCH better. Lots of dogs running around unattended and going into our tent while we were away. A very stubborn goat was also left unattended the whole weekend and made it almost impossible to eat outside as she was trying to steal our food (one of those funny looking back at it but not in the moment situations). Bathroom was dirty. The tent was dirty. The owners were out of town so it’s possible we would have had a better experience if they were there but this was not the glamping experience that was advertised. Fortunately we didn’t spend a ton of time at the campsite since we were out doing things but definitely a letdown considering what we paid for it.

Such a great spot. Private, nice little glamping cabins set up with comfortable bed, outdoor shower, outhouse, fire pit….lots of pups and goats and chickens. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Loved that it was pet friendly as well

Beware the road up is a little treacherous! And many mosquitoes so bring your spray!

My family and I (including 2-year-old and dog) had a great stay at the Glampire. It's a quick drive from Philo and Boonville and another quick hop to the coast. Andy was a warm and welcoming host, and the tent was huge and very comfortable. The picnic table/fire pit set up was super convenient for cooking, though might have been a little crowded if the tent next door was occupied and we were sharing both with other guests.

This is rustic glamping (old-school outhouse) on a farm with free-range goats, dogs and chickens. We loved playing with the wriggly little puppies and their big brothers, but our dog was a bit overwhelmed by all the animals roaming about in the campsite down by the main house. (She's prone to chase, so we couldn't let her off-leash.) If you want more privacy and less animal interaction, opt for the campsites up in the woods.

All in all, a wonderful weekend at a very charming property!

Our tent site in the trees was beautiful. This property is off the beaten path and a bit chaotic among the beauty of the redwoods. I would definitely suggest the tent location in the trees not near the house which is referred to as the Chateau as there is a lot of activity and piles of stuff everywhere. We were excited to stay at the Glampire & enjoy the experience shared by another camper but unfortunately after we were met by the host Andy upon arrival we never saw him again as he left the property during our 3 day stay. We would of liked to get the low down of the property & nearby activities, Bee Hunter winery and the Philo area. The outdoor sink/potable water wasn’t hooked up so we took down the shower head to fill water bottles, wash dishes & hands. We had to walk the property to track down garbage bins as there wasn’t any at our site. The outhouse is just that. Missing toilet paper and hand sanitizer. They have many many dogs on the property, approximately 5 dogs & 6 pups that ran about. All very very sweet but a lot of barking. Clean up of the property & preparation for guests would be a plus. I see the potential in the premise of a glamping location, but for now it’s priced way to high for the pay off. Plan camping minus a tent and bedding.

We had such a lovely time here. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating and the tents are very comfortable and spacious for a weekend getaway. There's hiking in the area and a small town a short drive away if you want to pick up a couple things. We'd love to stay again some time.

What a weekend! To say it was unique is an understatement, and if you enjoy eclectic, unique experiences Andy and Ali are one of a kind. From the impromptu wine tasting at the Bee Hunter winery in Booneville before we even arrived, to the Farm tour, cellar visit and yes live streaming cooking show we participated in at the Chateau our weekend was marked by the strange and wonderful world of Andy and Ali. They both opened their home to us as if we were long lost relatives and were so beautifully relaxed about anything we wanted (Thank you for the Pinot Noir and other goodies) we felt right at home. Kindness and generosity come to mind for sure and a little chaotic beauty, as negotiating farm dogs, very persistent goats (followed us into the cellar), farm cats the size of wildcats, and the worlds most handsome rooster seemed an every day event. We made new friends (what-up Andre), learned about entirely new wine making techniques (Benign neglect) and not only watched but participated in the worlds most fluid (in many ways!) live cooking show - delicious! (Ali is a bonafide saint for putting up with our "participation")
Being only the second guests Andy and Ali ever welcomed at the Chateau (a little more reminiscent of the Burrows (Harry Potter reference - look it up), than a french castle) did mean there were a few minor logistical issues to fix regarding tents and sleeping arrangements but nothing our hosts didn't jump into with aplomb. (It also happened to be Pinot Noir festival so a lot going on for our hosts)
If you are looking for a super crisp, logistically perfect glamping experience give Andy and Ali another week or so to iron out the kinks, but if you're looking for a wild, unique, one of a kind, experience, saddle up, put on your seat belt and joix-de-vivre, and get ready to come back with incredible memories and with stories to entertain your cocktail party guest for many years. We are coming back next year - (Andy, as discussed consider a disc golf course on your awesome property and we'll make it a quarterly event!) Cheers!
