Carrizo Sunset
Camping with self.
Loved the quiet and the scenery. Even though this was a solo trip it was still worth the stars and campfire for some much needed alone time.

Carrizo Sunrise
Camping with my dog
Great place to spend the night. My dog enjoyed the outdoors too.
Carrizo Sunrise
Very secluded spot which has its pros and cons. The closest grocery store being 45 minutes away make sure you have everything. Views were pretty good, but it’s obvious this is more of a seasonal site and I didn’t do enough of my research to find that out. Even then the starry sky was incredible and not something you see every night. The bathrooms situation was alright. Reading some old reviews about the door not working I can tell the host really took those into account as there was a brand new (working!) door on the outhouse. Bathroom was covered in spiders however. Lots of bugs and you could hear coyotes howling which is pretty cool. Other than the fact there’s not much to do around here, I think it’s best you plan accordingly and try and come during the super bloom. Still a pretty good site and we went to Pismo beach and made a little day trip out of it

Carrizo Sunrise
Beautiful! Was able to watch the sunset, full moon and all the stars.
Carrizo Sunrise
So many spiders and big bugs!
Location was easy to find, right off a dirt road. We unfortunately missed super bloom so it was quite brown and dusty, but the campsite itself was well maintained.
Host was incredibly communicative, so appreciated quick responses.
Cell reception is decent, nearest town is about 45 mins away. Soda Lake was beautiful, but not a lot to see in the area so we were only there for a few minutes. We ended up driving out towards SLO/Avila and made a trip of it.
