We can't wait for you to come and stay at our gorgeous RV park and campground, nestled in the forest just north of Blairsden. Stay in one of our 2 tent sites (tent, air mattresses, chairs, and lanterns provided) and take in the spectacular views of nature all around you. Each tent can sleep 4 people comfortably, but has the capacity to sleep up to 6 (it may be a bit cozy)!
Camp Shady Meadow is in a private and secluded area, offering soul-restoring solitude and quiet. The property is walking distance to the Middle Fork of the Feather River. When the water levels are high, you can enjoy fishing, hiking, and biking along the river -- and if you're experienced, white-water rafting and kayaking!
Additionally, we have 5 mountain lakes within 20 minutes of camp. Similar to Lake Davis, there's an abundance of fishing, hiking, paddling, and wildlife watching.
The property is also home to an abundance of wildlife, including bald eagles, osprey, migratory waterfowl, deer, coyotes, and the occasional black bear. The nearest shop is less than 5 minutes away where you can purchase many of the basic necessities you may be looking for. In town, you'll find a variety of different restaurants, shops, and even a golf course!

We were making a last minute trip to Plumas County and the state park and USFS reservations were full which led us to Hip Camp. We highly recommend this site. The hosts are so gracious, water and shower are provided. The location is super duper convenient. Best of all, we didn’t have to set up a tent. The tent provided was huge and the blow up mattresses were very comfortable. Guests were respectable.
The camp was beautifully landscaped and the glamping tent was fantastic! Bonnie is such a warm and inviting person and made our stay special. I highly recommend this camp ground and we will definitely will be staying again with Bonnie!
A very nice place…. The tent was confortable and the night very quiet. Beautiful place for peoples love hiking. Possible to start directly from the camping. I will be sure coming here again maybe next year…
We loved that everything was all set up before we got there and 2 camp chairs were waiting for us to sit in the shade and cool breezes!
The tent was ginormous! It’s could have slept 20 kids in there😂
Bonnie and her husband were very friendly and gave advice and suggestions for the area. They even have a cute doggie.
The location is perfect and the hosts were super welcoming and friendly. Tent, air mattresses, lanters, and camping chairs were set up and ready, which is a huge plus for me (I have a small car)! I will definitely book again!
Lovely hosts, unpretentious camp site, highly recommend. We chose the ‘comes with a tent’ option, it was perfect. Airbeds already set up, can straight from mountain bike riding with no hassle.

Bonnie and Burke are total sweethearts. My fiancee and I live in Reno, within range of millions of acres of mountains, streams, lakes, and wild mountain and Great Basin backcountry in NV and CA, so paying to camp somewhere is just not a thing in our lives. But the price and convenience of this spot (the tent is huge!), walking distance from our friend's wedding BBQ and reception at the nearby Brewing Lair, made it absolutely perfect. We brought our favorite back-of-the-truck mat, but there were two air mattresses in the tent and Burke offered to top off the air before we settled in. Thanks so much!
