You've heard of glamping and dispersed camping, but what about "Back-glamping"? Come visit our gorgeous 17 acre private property, nestled in and above the Spanish Creek area of Plumas National Forest, mere minutes from the quaint, yet bustling mountain town of Quincy, CA, and experience a unique convergence of camping, hiking, backpacking and bushcrafting for an unforgettable custom outdoor adventure. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of the Mt. Hough / South Park Trail System's beautifully maintained hiking, biking, equestrian and moto trails, this private camping experience is sure to be a change from the norm. Area attractions within walking distance of the property include hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking/ATV trails, swimming, tubing, horse-back riding, gold panning, geocaching and more, not to mention the variety of fun and delicious offerings in town itself. You can hike your own gear up the hill, or, better yet, I can deliver your gear, firewood and potable water directly to your remote and private site via ATV, so all you have to do is enjoy the leisurely hike in from the national forest trail you like best. We will do all the heavy work, so you can just enjoy the experience, including spectacular views from the top of our ridge. Also, volunteers helping us with fire recovery and prevention work for the day can always stay for free that night. Are you getting bored with the standard drive in car camping routine, but scared to try dispersed camping? Why not have both? Meet “Backglamping”, where dispersed hike-in backpacking meets glamorous (facilitated/supported) camping. We will haul your gear and provide on site support, (water, firewood, first aid etc), while you simply hike and explore a “wilderness” environment few dream of. We do the work. You have the fun. Do you want a place you can let loose and really test your outdoor survival skills, without being harassed for trespassing? Do you want to try your hand at bush-crafting, like you've seen on all those YouTube videos, but aren't allowed to do it anywhere?  This is a gorgeous hilly site, on 17 private acres, surrounded by hundreds of acres of Plumas National Forest. Come explore your own intrepid off-grid, bush-crafting wild adventure, under quiet starry skies and away from the hustle of packed traditional campgrounds.  Please read ALL of the following important notes before making a booking.   A phone call is mandatory at least a day prior to your arrival, to ensure I have a solid understanding of your needs and preferences so I can coordinate your best possible experience.  Unfortunately, there are no traditional amenities on site yet. This is a strictly dispersed camping opportunity, where you must hike in and be able to fend for yourself.  I can, however, as an extra service, (see extras), haul your gear up for you, and provide firewood, water and support as needed, so by the time you get to your site, all the heavy stuff is already there waiting for you. This is not a traditional car camping, drive in and camp near your car situation. Parking on site is very limited and for 4x4 vehicles only. This is why we have to coordinate ahead of your arrival, so we know where to meet/park etc.  This adventure is for folks who are experienced in backpacking, camping and enjoying all wild nature has to offer, with the luxury of not needing to haul 100 lbs of gear and water into the wilderness. The Plumas National Forest trails surround the property, so you can easily hike up the Cascade Trail, or the Spanish Traverse Trail towards Spanish Ridge Trail where they meet at Quartz Junction and dip off the beaten path for a night or more, and then seamlessly head back onto the beaten path where you left off... (See trail map in pictures or online). Parking is available only on the national forest land across the street, near the Spanish Creek beach area (great for fishing or just cooling down), or you can coordinate with us for a more secure option for stays of three nights or more, and there are hundreds of miles of maintained trails you can access/leverage on this journey.  (You could also park in town in the Safeway parking lot 8 minutes away and bike/hike in from there...)  The Spanish Creek beach area is amazing for easy access to great fishing, tubing, rope swings and swimming. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of National Forest and miles of hiking, biking, equestrian and ATV trails. This is mountain bike mecca.  The terrain is hilly, but there are several incredible flat spots and sites for your adventurous spirit to thrive, all with serene privacy and amazing views.  You are welcome to bush-craft all you want, but please do not bring down any standing trees. (There are plenty already down and safe for use!) There are many materials for you to choose from, an a plethora of amazing sites to make your own for a few days. We have Cedar, Pine, Douglas Firs, Oak and Manzanita, not to mention the rock options. Please try to limit use of any external materials (tarps, ropes, nails etc) for your bush-crafting adventures, and be sure to pack them all out with you.  Remember, this is a leave no trace survivalist sanctuary, so be kind to the land and try to leave it better than you found it if you can.   Finally, please feel free to collect and burn firewood wherever you can find it, but again, please do not chop down standing trees, dead or not. We have several burn piles located on the ridge which offer you plentiful firewood already. Please use that supply first! (If you run out from that supply, congratulations, you're hired for our fuel maintenance program!)  Please call/email/message if you'd like additional tips and tricks - this property abounds with hidden gems we would love to point out, from quartz rock quarries to abandoned mining vehicles, secret creeks, treehouses, rope swings or ziplines. Or just find the treasures by yourselves. It's a glorious escape from the normal camping routine, either way. So much goes into preparing for your arrival, so please be considerate and communicative prior to your arrival. Phone contact at least one day prior to your arrival is mandatory to ensure your best possible experience. No call/no shows within 24 hours will not be refunded.

COME HERE ITS AWESOME!!!
This weekend was the most fun i’ve had in a very long time!! The host Nadia was quite the woman. She’s so inviting and loving and wants what’s best for her campers. She also made sure our stay was as fun and comfortable as possible. Not only did Nadia bring our stuff but also provided things such as wood tents and good company. I would recommend coming here for the whole camping experience. You can see the stars so well and the sound of nature never fails to impress. Her dog pink was also so sweet and had a blast playing with her. There is a hike up to the camp that can be a bit exhausting but so worth it! Absolutely loved it here and would recommend it to everyone and all lovers of nature. 10/10

Camping with a Vision
Camping at Nadia’s site was beautiful and a delight. I truly appreciate that there are so many options to personalize the camping experience. Whether you want to have a fully rugged go at it or have several amenities taken care of. Nadia is around to make it smooth and delightful. The views are gorgeous and the surroundings are endlessly full of exploration potential. Nadia will give you free range and encourage you to build your own legacy on her land, which is a rather unique and rare opportunity. Even the drive up from the bay was a fantastic journey. Choose one of the many camps and you will not be disappointed. Thank you Nadia for an unforgettable and special camping experience!

This site is dope.
This place is both the journey and the destination. I arrive, meet Nadia the Host and Pink the Dog that owns the place. Nadia takes all my stuff and tells me where the site is. I walk up about .75 miles along this one-person trail, Nadia's there with all my stuff, we unload, talk about the site, share a couple stories, and she goes back down the hill with Pink supervising. Plus I've got 5 gal of drinking water she brought up. It's quiet. I can hear silence, plus some wind moving through the trees. A couple insects and a few birds in the distance. A camp-countertop makes cooking easy. The sleeping area is about 50ft away. The fire pit is the 'main event' at the site. Piles of dried, easy-to-light manzanita are everywhere. Abundance. There are trails everywhere. All ready to follow. There are a magickal places, ready to embrace you with loving energy. Quartz is sprinkled everywhere. I came here to retreat and left with a new understanding of myself with the help of the energy here. Unexpected, yet so welcome.

My vet school friends and I had a great time at Nadia's campsite. Her property has some beautiful scenic views and lies right next to Plumas National Forest which has some wonderful hikes. Although the campsites did not have bathrooms or bear boxes, every other amenity was provided to us during our stay including Nadia's ATV transportation of our belongings to and from our campsite. The fire pits were really nice and there is plenty of dry wood and open skies for stargazing right near the campsites!
