Another hidden gem on Hipcamp. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, which I regret because the lands were so beautiful and open, but we will definitely be back to stay longer and explore more. There were two people that greeted us, Jessica and Brent. They were very welcoming and hospitable. They made sure we had everything we needed for the night to be comfortable and even checked in on us through text. The site is 6 miles back on a dirt road. The glamping tent is huge. On the inside there is an air mattress provided by the host, a kitchenette, and some tables. We also rented some cots. There are a couple other tents nearby but we had no problem with privacy. Outside the tent is a picnic table and a fire pit. If you go in winter, you’ll NEED a heater for the inside of the tent. We rented one from the host and it was perfect. The hot springs trail is easily accessible. It’s a pretty good down hill hike to the hot springs and a heart pounding, uphill hike on the way back. If you’re looking for a little adventure I recommend this place.
Hot springs getaway
We had a great time at our Hot Springs Hide-Out stay. The tent was enormous, furnished nicely with comfortable beds and practical basic items to help make the most out of our time there. Matt in particular was awesome and super helpful. Told us to call anytime if we needed and he meant it. Deep Creek hot springs was a nice hike down to and totally worth the adventure. The only thing id recommend them do is fix the few holes on the window side of Juniper Flats tent so moisture cant get in, but honestly we had a wonderful time and i would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable getaway to a beautiful and magical area.
Brent and Jessica’s place was really incredible. The yurt had everything we needed and they were both so helpful in getting us settled. The hike to the hot springs was a decent distance and definitely worth it. I would recommend this campsite and we will definitely be going back.
This camping experience was so wonderful and I would absolutely recommend it! Would probably recommend paying the extra 25 for the portable heater because it was very chilly!
A blissful way to bring in 30.
My group and I had a phenomenal time! Matt, the host, was incredibly friendly and hospitable! He helped us get settled in and showed us to the hot springs. We glamped in one of the large tents. The tent was stocked with a stove, utensils, an air mattress and more! Showers and a toilet were also on site. Overall, 10/10 would recommend!
Nice large tents although I’d suggest getting there before dark as it’s not easy to get around on unmarked dirt roads at night. I wouldn’t recommend renting the cots - they’re more like old army medical cots that are the higher of a massage table. Better off bringing a nice air mattress or sleeping pad. But the tents are very spacious and accommodating with closets, tables, fireplaces, chairs, bed etc. While there is a “short cut” to the springs from the property, beware this hike is long and in exposed desert heat, you need to be prepared with good shoes, plenty of water and a headlamp in case you don’t make it back before sunset. Once we met the owner, Brent he was great but we had no response to communications leading up to our stay and couldnt reach anyone when we got lost either so again, make sure to go before the sun sets and don’t depend on WiFi.
Secluded in nature
This was the perfect blend of rustic and pampered. The tent was huge and very well outfitted. Bed was comfortable, kitchen gear was well stocked. Several solar powered lights, chairs, tables, fire pit was all perfect. The “bathroom” was close enough but far enough away to be ideal. We were pleasantly surprised at the hot running water in the sinks. Much, much more in the way of creature comforts than one expects from camping.
Matt checked us in, oriented us to everything, and was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide.
But the real attraction was the setting. So peaceful and beautiful. Stars at night and sunny landscape in the daytime. The hot springs nearby with the hike to reach them, provided a perfect day-long adventure. The whole experience was fantastic.
Enjoyed our stay. Awesome space, beautiful land, friendly and attentive hosts if needed. Didn’t have any issues finding the place or the spring. 10/10 recommend!
Loved this place. Beautiful site, 260 degree basin at the top of the land. The tents are huge, like small apartments. Fire pit, Weber grill, picnic table, inside there is a Coleman stove and fuel, tables, large air beds, bedding, carpet. What a nice place. The tents are so durable and wind proof. Super windy up there. Flush outhouse, sink area, showers, even hot water. hiking distance to the trailhead for the hot springs. Hosts (Brent and others) are so nice and welcoming.
