Corona-We are leaning on and trusting our Base Camp campers to take precautions to stay safe and to use 6 feet distance which you should use your best judgement   We have 20 acres of land to spread out on.  We are asking each camper to clean the bathroom and shower area before and after as we would not be able to do this after each use.  Stay safe and be well!

If you are looking for man made and leveled campsites, then this is not your basecamp. This land is a gorgeous 20 acres that means a lot to us.

It's space to find your peace of mind and pitch a tent or hammock, as you would when hiking the backcountry.

Aside from complimentary ice water, potty, shower, soaps, sanitizer, sunscreen, first aid, communal fire pit, wood stove and dishwashing area) this is not "glamping".

If you are  a person who appreciates nature and making due with what the land has provided, then we are a great fit.

Guests have 20 acres to find a secluded, or socially distanced spot to pitch camp.

This is for people that know how to camp in the backcountry -

Without a trash can, who don’t leave cigarette butts, respect the land and would rather not be sectioned off.

Flat areas are all over if you explore, and use your feet to brush aside rocks and twigs, to lay down a tent base, as we do every time we camp in the backcountry.

The geography of these mountains is just that, hills and mountains. The vista at the top of the property is gorgeous and easily camps 5 tents spaced out. The property does offer many other great camping areas, and I’m more than happy to point them out.

Yosemite is 30 minutes away, Don Pedro lake is 30 minutes, Cherry Lake is 30 minutes, Preston falls and Carlon falls are both 30 min away.  Downtown Groveland Is 7 minutes away, and other historic towns are not too far.

Close to many swimming holes. Rainbow pools is 15 minutes away. 10 min from the local grocery store and other local shops. Base Camp is just off of highway 120. Sonora has a great farmers market on Sunday and is a beautiful 40 min drive away.

Thank you for taking time to read this, we look forward to hosting you!

About an hour from Yosemite valley (30 mins to park gate) so the location is nice. In the winter it may be preferable to stay here rather than the park because it may be slightly warmer due to its lower elevation.

Host was very responsive and camping area was quiet and well kept. Amazing views of the stars

What a beautiful place to stay and so close to Yosemite. Jarrett is so nice and well accommodating. Plenty of space for dispersed camping though the top of the hill was my favorite. The morning view was beautiful. Definitely would stay here again.

Jarett is a very friendly host. Showed me the place around and an amazing camping area with good views and all the amenities mentioned in the listing. Only ~45 mins away from Yosemite National Park and very close to highway - 120 & Groveland so easy to get in and get out as needed. Definitely will be back when I plan my next trip to Yosemite National Park.

on a cold end October night we had the luck of being alone in the camp. So nature’s sounds were disturbed only by the occasional car on the 120, which is not very far. The camp is conventiently located on a hilltop accessible by car, which makes for a nice view. We had a beautiful starry night, and watching the milky way disappear as the moon rose over the Sierra Nevada was quite unique. A great place to stay at the doors of Yosemite!

Jarrett, Bo and Wanda were wonderful hosts, and what a beautiful camping area! There was a large amount of land to explore and set up my tent, but I chose to go with the top of the hill because of the beauty there.

Amenities-wise, there was everything you could need- shower, bathroom, and a hose was in a nice area a short 5 min walk from where I set up my tent.

I spent a lot of time exploring Yosemite, which was only a 20 min drive to get to the entrance.

I would definitely camp here again and recommend it to anyone that wants to really get away from the hustle and bustle of usual campgrounds, and actually spend some time in nature.
